i'll admit, i certainly never thought that this song had anything to do with god or anything like that... not that i think anyone's off here, but i had just never thought about it. i really think the song is about not being able to live up to a former relationship. i kinda see it as if he's seeing this girl who used to be in a real serious relationship, and with that knowledge, he feeks like he will never ever have the ability to replace that person and what they had. "and i'm feeling so much younger than my years" - i think what he means by that is that he never really got to experience the sort of relationship she had experienced before him. it's like, NOW he is experiencing it but it's not really new to the girl he is seeing. does this even make sense? i'm bad at explanations. all i know is that ben lee, you're kicking my ass with your awesomeness. |
