The Spanish City has basically been knocked down to build a housing delevopment or a school or something crap like that and it's really sad. Also the arcades are mostly shut down and it's a shame because that part of Whitley Bay was amazing and so fun and I don't care if people thought it was starting to look worn down, they shouldn't have got rid of it all. I remember going to the Spanish City when it was still good and it's really sad that a part of the actual history of Whitley Bay has gone- the Spanish City dome thing was like 100 years old! Also Ash played there :) Everything about this entire song completely encompasses the whole atmosphere of the place perfectly. |

when i first listened to this song i immediately thought of my best friend. we have a bond which is just as close if not closer than any sisters could ever be and i love her so much. she was going through a really rough patch a little while ago and i sent her this song. shes said since that it helped her get through by reminding her of our bond and how much i loved her- its the ultimate piece of music to show how much you love a sister or friend. |

Can't believe more people haven't commented on this song, it's so fun. It makes me happy just to hear the opening sequence- it's crazy. It doesn't make sense- I think it's about a volatile relationship, maybe one thts just beginning or an old one thats starting to go downhill. The singer is driving the relationship and trying harder than the other guy/girl, and by the sound of it the relationships a pretty sexual one. Good stuff. |

Shit I LOVE this song!!! It really reminds me of some good times I've had with a friend of mine. We've done so many stupid things together, and when I'm with him I feel totally FEARLESS. We're always getting into trouble together but I don't care- unlike my parents. We both love this song- I guess it's sort of becoming our theme tune...his nickname for me is 'chica'. 'The best time I've ever had, waiting around for something bad'- HAS to be my favourite line. That's how I feel when I'm with him and I'm obsessed with getting into trouble. Best song by The Bravery by far. No Breaks is a close second though I guess. |

I'm not exactly a big Christina fan, nor am I a fan of this genre of music in general, but this song has on occasion reduced me to tears. it's so empowering and uplifting, and since I've been having a tough time recently this song has been on repeat for A LONG TIME. Funnily enough, the reason I've been feeling so low is all to do with a guy, just like ILoveHim. I don't know for sure but maybe this song reaches out in particular to girls who have been getting shit from guys. Also, this song just would not be the same if it hadn't been sung by Christina- she's amazing. |

When I first heard this song I had just found out that my ex boyfriend had started dating another girl and this really upset me- I hadn't wanted to break up. I was going to a party where I would see them together for the first time and suddenly I realised what the song meant to me personally.
'here's the day you thought would never come' and 'now's as bad a time as any'- I had been dreading this happening for weeks and knew how much it was going to hurt.
'there there baby its just textbook stuff...etc.'
this spoke to me like my friends were, reassuring me that this was just something people go through growing up, now it was my turn. The final lines, 'it's ok by me, it was a long time ago' was like me telling myself and him that I was fine with everything.
Although this is entirely personal and it probably doesnt mean that AT ALL, it just helped me get through a tough time. And it's one of the most perfect songs I've ever heard. |
