This song is on the expanded version of "Who's Next". But the live version is waaay better - as always with the Who.
Pete said that here, 'water' means 'love'. But since Roger is the singer and has a bit of a macho complex, there's no way he would've sung "we need love", so Pete changed it to 'water' for him because its just as fluid and uncontrollable as love. |

Obviously you dont hate Nelly or the song THAT bad if you're taking the TIME to post things.
Maybe you guys just LOVE to hate and that's sad - I feel sorry for you -your life must really suck that bad.
Anyways, this song is great even if its about shoes. I mean, arent there a lot of people who are REALLY into shoes?? What's wrong with writing a song about something you love?

yeah I heard about that, zefineis. I heard the song was set in the future and the government banned driving or something due to all the pollution but this didnt matter to Pete (or whoever in the story) and he breaks the law and goes driving anyways ("I don't care about pollution" "Watch the police and the tax man miss me") Great song! |
