i agree with the lot of you. i think this song is about how his music career didnt give him much back - other than money to pay for his addiction - heroine, or the rich white lady as he would say. i agree with ferdinandthebull - if we´re going to analyze every single word of his songs, we´d forget how amazing they all are. elliott took the meaning of the song with him to his grave, may he rest in peace. i love how raw and moving this song is, it really drags you into the situatuion elliott was in at the time, and how he was feeling. he was a great artist and we are lucky to hear him live forever through his music. rip steven paul smith. |
