Man, dig a little and see through the girlfriend and boyfriend L-O-V-E thing which seems to be as basic as relating a song to D-R-U-G-S!!!! After reviewing this song I had a true revelation, that this song is about AK's belief in a higher power! There is some truth behind the Drug thing, but the focal point is almost AK singing a song to what ever higher power he believes in. John says to live above hell My will is well --John is telling him not to fall into the hellish life of drugs. His (AK) will (intent) is good (not to take that road that John is warning him of. No one is waiting For me to fail My will could sail yeah ---He has come to realize that no on around him wants to fail so the only reason to fail at what he is battling with is his on will (intent) I care for you I really do I really do --Telling the "GOD" that he does care for him even though he seems not to because of how he treats his own life. It’s such a waste to be wasted In the first place I want to taste the taste of Being face to face with common grace To meditate on the warmest dream And when I walk alone I listen To our secret theme --These lines are awesome. Pay attention how his voice rises at the beginning as if he is kind of upset at himself for not knowing all along what he is saying right now. basically it's a waste to be a drug addict he just now wants to be in "GOD's" grace (goodside). To be able to meditate and have thoughts of good, loving things and not negative stressful things. he just wants to be at peace with himself. the secret theme is like when a couple are really close, they tend to have 1 special song (theme) that they both relate to their entire relationship. he's not specific but it's a secret theme or song that he relates to his relationship to his spiritual side. P.S. - I felt the song was talking about a woman he loved until I really start reading my Bible and understanding how God gave us free will. Now when you give your life to God you are giving GOD back your will to allow him to use you in any manner he chooses. Plus I know addicts in rehabs normally go through some sort of 12 step program which refernces a higher power. |

Loved this song and this artist!!!! MAN, she brought the flame to alot of these FAKE rappers who got there fame and glory supposedly because they were so ganster, when ALL of the people from the hood like herself knew the truth, that they had never really been in the streets like they rap about!! ***I'm not sure if this is about one person in general, but hey who knows!!!! Side note: Why has she never came out with another ced???? :-( :-( |
