To me it's about a girl that he misses, & he really wants to want him, he doesn't care if she loves him, or if she will love him in the future, he wants her to be with him either way. & I also think it has a deeper meaning. When it says "I will write this down for you", it makes me think of like a suicide note. And "I will hold my breath for you, till I can't feel it," makes me think of possibly hanging himself? "Oh love, I'm tangled up again Oh love, when does this twisting end?" Againg makes me think of hanging, and feeling like you need a way out. |

Of course it's about being of legal drinking age! In power for the hour... Happy hour. Being 21, that's kinda obvious isn't it? But it's also about being worried that he's going to mess up all his new found freedoms. There's someone he loves who recently died, so he wants to be good, so he can go to heaven. He also has a girlfriend he wants to marry, but he doesn't think his mom will aprove, & he's not sure what to do... he's only known the girl for about a year, and he want's to make sure she'll be there, even when things get bad. |
