residuum, they're actually compared to him alot. :sometimes the line walks you?: i freaking love this song. i saw them in concert on wednesday and i've been listening to them non stop since long before that. this song haunts me like crazy, the buckshot line gets stuck in my head all the time. i wind up singing it at the top of my lungs ever time i hear it. freaking amazing. really. |

^ I didn't read the book, but i saw the movie and i was totally thinking the same thing. it's the whole zombie thing. it also makes me think of cell by stephen king. AMAZING song. the first one i ever heard and i'm SO glad i did. wish they would have played it last night, but alas, they did not. they still rock out though. |

I just saw them in concert last night. He said they hadn't done this song on their tour yet, because it was so depressing but someone in the audience had specifically requested it so they did it any way. i loved it. they are an amazing band. |

My friend told me the story of this song last night and it gave me chills. But when she told it, she said the flower girl was seven. (I don't know if that's true... I haven't looked at the article yet, but i will) Even if it isn't, if you count how many times he does the counting thing, and the like four before he starts counting, it adds up to the number of people in a jury. (because the drunk driver pleaded he was trying to kill himself...?) I don't know... i thought it was cool.

^i'm the same way in my life and i've been dealing with all of these issues over the past 3 or four years. I LOVE THIS SONG. in a weird sort of way, it's kind of a comfort to me because now i know that i'm not the only one who doesn't have it all figured out. it's so beautiful. the new cd is amazing. they've grown so much, whatever they do in the future is going to be just that much more amazing. |

Ok, i love this song and MCR, but as far as hidden messages? I don't think they really MENT to hide this, it's just kinda thrown in there to make listening more interesting. That's just my view. i can definetely see the anti-suicide message though, but they kinda give off that vibe anyway. |

I agree, A lot of bands do recycle melodies. I kinda like it, it makes it easier to tell who's who or when one band is copying another. This song is so sad, I can't wait for the new album!
