In the sleve of the deluxe editon violent femmes CD Gordon Gano says " I wrote this for a girl who said she wanted to start a band "like the Plasmatics" I never saw her again and was told she shaved her head and joined a cult in Canada. Occasionally I would write "i" when I meant "a"- thats how the line became "let me go on like i blister in the sun." Done. i also think it written from two differant points of view. the first two verses , from her point of view the third from his and the rest from her view of the perfect guy. so i guess it could be about all of these things, masterbation, sex, drugs,...etc; |
