Fall Out Boy – Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year Lyrics 19 years ago
William Beckett is in this song. He does the whole "the best part of believe is the lie" part.
--
Yeah, I read that on William's Wikipedia page.
Odd.
But I like William's voice.

Meh, I'm just going to try and figure out a few lines.
"We're the therapists pumping through your speakers."
The way some people use music as a form of therapy or the way people relate to what people are saying through music, and the way sometimes the lyrics mean absolutely nothing so they're not really therapeutic, only pretending so that they can relate to people better.
(Uh, wow. That was way more detailed than I intended.)
"We're traveled like gypsies
Only with worse luck and far less gold
We're the kids you used to love
But then we grew old
We're the lifers here til the bitter end
Condemned from the start
Ashamed of the way
The songs and the words own the beating of our hearts."
The way that you're always condemned to be 'that guy from Fall Out Boy' or whatever after the band ends or they fall out of popularity, and the way that touring takes it's toll ("with worse luck and far less gold").

Just my interpretation of those lines.

Cobra Starship – Bring It (Snakes on a Plane) Lyrics 19 years ago
Pete Wentz is a video whore.
Everyone knows that, man.
And Gabe Saporta is 'the guy', from the band Midtown-- hence Travis McCoy saying 'Midtown, downtown' in the end of the song. I'm assuming he says 'Snake on a blog' because of the incredible amount of hype surrounding the movie on the internet.
I'm totally going to see this, man.

Franz Ferdinand – The Fallen Lyrics 19 years ago
Oh wow.
I never really listened to the lyrics before, hence I never thought of this having a religious stance.
Now that I've read the theories, it seems extremely obvious.

I like this song a lot now.

Drake Bell – I Found A Way Lyrics 19 years ago
I kinda like this song, too. I like his voice when he sings the first couple of notes to 'It's gonna take some time to realize'.

JamisonParker – Best Mistake Lyrics 19 years ago
Great song. I heard it on a YouTube mockumentary trying to prove the existence of Frerard (Gerard Way/Frankie Iero of My Chemical Romance pairing. Don't ask.) and immediately fell in love with it.
This is the only JamisonParker song I've heard, but I'm going to download more when my LimeWire gets back up. Any suggestions?

Better Than Ezra – A Lifetime Lyrics 19 years ago
I think that Allie is only said by name in the first verses, then in the rest of the song is mentioned by the narrarator as 'you', which makes sense. He (I'm only referring to the narrarator as a male because it's easier than saying 'the person that stole the urn' or 'the narrarator, so bear with me) must have an accomplice because he says 'We arrived late at the wake'-- we. He remembers seeing Allie on the hood of his car, singing when the sun came up, perhaps singing the mentioned REM song, so the song is in his head while they scatter the ashes.
Then, when he gets home, Allie's parents are waiting for him in his living room because they know he did it, but he doesn't get in trouble and goes to his room, then plays the CD that Allie made for him-- presumably hearing the REM song.
Dunno.

My Chemical Romance – The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You Lyrics 19 years ago
[Let's try this again, shall we?]
This song confused the shit outta me before I read the theories about the meaning.
I really like the way 'Ghost' merges into 'Jetset' before Ray kicks in with a different chord.
The fact that Gerard uses 'muerte' is interesting. I would think, given the fact that 'morte' and 'muerte' are pronounced about the same, that he'd choose 'morte', which is Italian, given his heritage and the fact that Italian and Italy both symbolize romance and mystery.
-shrugs-
Whatever, still a great song.

My Chemical Romance – Bury Me In Black Lyrics 19 years ago
Great song, probably my third favorite from My Chem [the first being Drowning Lessons and the second being The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You]. I'd really like to find the demo version that xxxdaniellexxx mentioned; I downloaded it from 'The Immortality Project' but I can't find the lyrics.
By the way. 'GeraldWayObsessed', if you're obsessed, why did you spell Gerard's name with a 'd'?
-cough- Anyway.
I think this song is about being wasted all the time, like Gerard was when this was probably recorded, and depressed and suicidal and shit. [Rumor has it that Mikey actually wrote this song before his brother went into rehab, but I don't know if it's true, so don't jump my ass if you don't think it is.]
