| Freelance Whales – Ghosting Lyrics | 15 years ago |

From a recent interview: "But, yes, the record is also about this pre-adolescent love story between a young boy and this ghost that occupies his house. ‘Ghosting’, for instance, is about him observing what she does around the house and he is sort of thinking that some day when he passes on he will have to take responsibility for her, so he’s kind of trying to emulate her." |

| The Pierces – Kill, Kill, Kill Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I heard this song on the Petros and Money show and I had to look it up. No comments? Shame on you people. | |
| Laura Veirs – Cast A Hook In Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It's a shame so few people have heard this song, I listen to it every day. | |
| Eisley – Ten Cent Blues Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is one of my favorites, but the meaning is completely lost on me. Stacy probably wrote this one, all of her journal entries on the website are even more out there. | |
| Eisley – Combinations Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Such a simple song, but so beautiful. Anyone who doesn't love this has no soul. | |
| Explosions in the Sky – The Only Moment We Were Alone Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Perfect...some of their songs have some extraneous parts, but this one just builds up all the way through like a good drama. | |
| Explosions in the Sky – Catastrophe and the Cure Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Drums kind of sound like weapons firing, don't they? Either way, this song feels like conflict that stops and then starts again. Almost like a cycle..."the cure" never really cures for long. | |
| Explosions in the Sky – What Do You Go Home To Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Pretty simple I think. A person reflecting on his/her life and whether they need to change for the better or be content with where they are. | |

You guys are both right...Butcher is about writing songs, but also about wanting to cut his penis off(since it is the source of his problems). It's not to be taken literally, though. No need for namecalling. As for this song, it's by far my favorite on this CD. The shepard seems to be mentally disturbed, as he appears to be talking to himself. As for the lamb, she either gets raped after they have dinner, or has willing sex with this guy("it was in the bag" is a good indicator of this). Either way is a bad scenario, but the first one is creepier and makes the song more interesting so I'm going to go with that one. |

| Jimmy Eat World – Lying Dressed Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Much prefer this to Closer. The ending with the full band and the chorus just make the song...I'm not sure why they got rid of it. Also "Remember me?" as a question just seems so much sweeter(and sappier in a good way) than it does in Closer. But that's just one man's opinion. | |
| Sunny Day Real Estate – Guitar and Video Games Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Most perfect first two minutes of a song ever. Never ceases to leave me in awe. | |

Here are the CORRECT lyrics from the 100% from booklet. I got it early on preorder. The Sheperd: I can't say I've always been honest You can't say i've done a disservice. The girl, she's just a child. She's got a lot to learn andI'm helping out Your deceit is under your wing, You won't let her know you know it's not appropriate. But all that hair...and porcelain You swear it's more than mere lust. Into the fold, into the fold. If she knew what you do, The pristine routine to fool the rube. The gentle gentleman, the loathed Lothario You feign you change your ways but we know, yeah we know. Can't you can't quell this need for submissives? The Sheperd: Oh such lovely girls, to lead each tender little lamb, Into the fold, into the fold. And you my pet, "The Sweetest Yet" I'll hold you closest to my heart Into the fold The Lamb: I was in the student union Studying for an English quiz; He came up and asked directions to the new auditorium We walked up and down the campus, no one had ever heard of it He was so embarrassed when he realized he had the wrong college, He offered to buy us coffee for the time and effort wasted We drank and talked for so long, we started Making plans for dinner. The Sheperd: She was young and impressionable, I pretended to need directions She led me all over the campus, All the while I'm asking her questions. She agreed to have a cup of coffee That's when I started to lay it on heavy Once she learned I studied Dostoevsky It was in the bag. |
