ThePython hit it on the head. It doesn't strike me as about a guy who doesn't feel good enough to be with a girl. The few giveaways to that: He HAD a match...not WAS a match. His feelings were equivalent to a match, whereas her's were more like a lighter. Same with having a flame...he felt a spark, but she was fully engulfed in the relationship. He had a good outlook, but her's was so much brighter, and she was floating on Cloud 9. Then when he says she didn't believe him, it obviously means she didn't think his feelings were as sincere as hers. However, he only says he has doubts...which could mean he has doubts about the relationship in general, not about how much share cares about him. This hits home with me. I was in a relationship for some time with a girl that had stronger feelings than I. |
