This is a love story about him and her and how they met. WHO CARES WHO SINGS WHAT PART, i'm just kidding but u guys...kept going on about it. Let's talk about the meaning of this song okaY?
So song goes, "we use to live in the same building on the same floor and never met before until I'm overseas on tour." he talks about the past, they were right under each other's noses and didn't take notice until he went off and this time around, their paths crossed and they finally met. However, this were shaky at first because they both had their own goals to pursue, him and his music and she and her films. she didn't care though and years later, things finally stablized and they're together, stronger than before. eventually, she becomes a part of his life just like his music and career. so now we know he's madly, deeply in love with her but at the same time worried about her losing her love for him because he's being realistic. people can cheat, especially when their loved ones is not around or being there for them. she keeps reassuring him (throughout the rap) saying, "baby don't worry...you got me." the significant part (which is chosen to be the title) is when she says "you know that you got me." he has her heart, he has her love, no one can take that away.
i think it's such a sweet song, realistic, sweet, genuine. it talks about a couple struggling to stay together with the geographical distance in between them. |

I think this guy hurt the girl he likes and is asking for a second chance, "This time
We'll find what we both need..." followed by, "when I look at you, you're so far away" and he kept saying she's so far away. So i'm guessing, he hurt her and she drifted away from him so he wants a second chance to make it up to her with the reassurance AND promise that he won't screw it up again this time. So he asks her to "let go" (of the grudges, anger, bad times) and embrace the possibilities of happiness that he's going to bring this time around. |

I think it's about this guy who was depressed and he just recently got over his depression and he's willing to start anew. He encountered true love but he doesn't know what to do with this new found love because all he knows is the chasing game and this new found love got tired of his game and she stopped playing. Now it's up to him, what he wants to do, either choose to continue to remain the way he is or start anew with true love. True love is hard to find by the way, so i'm assuming the song is telling the guy that life can be depressing (all the burning and stuff) but you can alleviate yourself from all that and start anew. There are plenty of fishes in the sea just because you lost one doesn't mean there will be no more, although it was pretty painful when you do lose one. So, it's up to him to choose now. everything's laid out. |

The speaker in the song is a guy and he's telling the girl he loves what he sees between the two of them. He's saying he wants to go some place with her and this indicates that it's not just the literal aspect of a place but basically going into the unknown mysteries of love with her. They would travel together as a couple through the journey of love. HE says that there are still roads left in their shoes which means they've got a long way to go, this relationship is only starting. She is the only melody he wants to hear floating through his atmosphere. She, to him is this gentle melody that soothes him like no other melodies (girls probably) can. So basically, a guy who's in love with a SUPER sweet girl and this is the start of their relationship. oh and the silence part means that if she dies, he would die with her too. So...they are soulmates...aw...this song is beautiful isn't it? |

i have a thing for the melody of this sing...it has this depressing tone. ANYWAY...
i think this song talks about a relationship reaching its end on the girl's side. this relationship is metaphorically portrayed as a waltz. At a dance, the last waltz is the VERY VERY LAST dance at the END of the dance, the closing for the evening. i suppose that in her point of view, she realizes that this relationship that was once beautiful (all the other romance that they had before this last waltz) is coming to a close on her part. she doesn't like him anymore and he's starting to feel it. his feeling haven't faded yet, and he 's getting insecure about her affections for him. She's trying to make the end something nice, like the last waltz, but it is all in all, still The End of their relationship. |

I think this song mainly talks about love, in terms of "love is a game." and he wants to be a part of this game but she's driving him crazy and she has the ability to actually squeeze the life out of him. She's got him thinking about her 24/7 etc etc, stuff like that. basically the guy really likes this girl, and as much as he had tried to elude from this outburst of feelings, he finds himself ADDICTED to her. |

I think this song is about the guy making a lot of mistakes and hurts the one he loves. however, he needs her there, so he'd always find some way to keep her around (but she's too independent so he bends till he breaks). hm...I think the speaker is talking about a girl that he really likes, however she doesn't understand how much he likes her:

but i'm kind of confused with the rest. I don't know if his love for her is fading, or he's willing to keep on going and going until she notices him. But apparently SO FAR, he's rather unlucky since she hasn't noticed him yet. It sounds like they're friends though, since she acknowledges him and knows who he is and what he's like, but doesn't know his heart.
and the part where he goes "enlighten me, reveal my fate," probably means he wants to know how she feels about him, and what she has to say, or is going to say about him, will reveal how his love life with her is going to be. |

hm...if Corgan did use that movie as an inspiration, then it makes perfect sense that the song "Forget It" is about a very painful relationship that the speaker and his beloved wants to erase from their memories. It is easier if you can forget all the painful memories of somone u love. It's kind of like "i love you so much i hate you, and being with u is killing me but without you i'd die. I agree with all the people who said that this song is about new found love. the speaker says he's trying to figure out "this girl." While he's trying to figure out "this girl" he acknowledges that a new, rather destructive girl (like the hurricane lol), is slowly taking over his heart. Since the other girl that he couldn't be with is drifting farther away, he says: "So maybe i should stay/ and map around your world." I love how he uses the metaphor of the hurricane for the new found love. And yes, he is being hesitant about the new chick, but he's considering it haha. i LOVE THIS SONG! |
