"Look what you've done to me now, you've made me perfect" I believe this song IS indeed about a relationship, and to me that line represents her thinking he's perfect, and him seeing this as a negative thing. He's almost blaming her for it, for making him feel as though he's perfect when he knows he isn't "Take my hand, I'll be everything to you, Take my hand, I'll take everything from you" He wants to be there for her, but he thinks he'll only let her down etc etc. |

| Also, something I forgot to mention, the fact that this album is out of order could represent the cycle esque nature of the Buddhist reincarnation belief. | |
| AFI – Bleed Black Lyrics | 19 years ago |

The album actually begins with "Silver and Cold" and Ends with "Bleed Black". Think about it. The narrative starts in "Silver and Cold" by introducing the death: 'I came here by day, but I left here in darkness'. It seems to me that "Silver and Cold" is about dying in his lover's arms, leading into "Dancing Through Sunday". Sunday being a day of rest, but since the narrator (Davey) has died, he 'Dances in misery' and is 'swept into the shadows', or swept into the nothingness of death. Etc, etc I believe that this, "Bleed Black" is him finally accepting his death and the fact that he won't be reborn. He grinds 'the pieces of his heart' to dust, symbolizing his chance at life, and finally the interlude says that he knowsh e died and will never be brought back. |
