when i first listened to this beautiful song, i thought automatically (cause it fitted my situation at the moment) that it was about a guy and her, who said he would be there forever, and it didnt work out. but after about 1000 repeats, the "the last kiss, ill cherish til we meet again" finally hit me, it was about someone who past away. its beautiful, and sad at the same time. |

Well, for this song portrays how i feel right now. My boyfriend had to go to work 8 hrs away. He was gone for 10 days, and back for 3. And after 4 months he broke up with me :( because we couldn't see each other. He was defiently the best i ever had. "So you sailed away, Into a grey sky morning. Now I'm here to stay Love can be so boring" to me seems like when that person has to leave, for whatver reason, and your left alone.. but you are still dating or whatever, you feel like its boring because you can't be with them all the time. the chorus, is the getting over the person.. denial. trying to cope. "its not so bad, your just the best i ever had" "so you stole my world" to me is like, you've made a life with that person, and when they left you, you have nothing. or so it seems. "and it may take some time to patch me up inside" of course means the certain heartache you feel when you lose someone close to you. and the end "what was it you wanted" means what else could you want, i gave you everything, my heart, my soul.. my love. and "could it be im haunted" means something like "its pattern, relationships always turn out like this, could i be haunted or have a curse? lol "i dont want you back, your just the best i ever had" still in denial, but trying to get over the person, telling themselves, they dont want them, even tho they are the best they have ever had. sorry i wrote sooo much, its just i love this song, because it explains EXACTLY what kind of situation im in right now. vertical horizon and the country singer who sang this, are awesome. |

| well, before i read what little everyone else wrote, i always was confued about this song.. i dont know if it's just because i have a hard time trusting guys, but i always thought this song was kinda weird. i thought it could** mean a guy just trying to get some, but now reading that it's easy to say I LOVE YOU, and it means more to show it, and actions speak louder than words, i can understand how this is a good song. | |
