dont know if this has been said, too much previously posted to read through without being bored... ...forgive me if this has been said before: Tis songs seems to me to be about 2 people, one of them doing well for himself and rubbing the other blokes face in it . The person who isnt doing so well is building up under the pressure of succeeding and also over the stress and irritance of someone rubbing their face in it. "I am bottled, fizzy water and you are shaking me up"... ...What happens when you shake a bottle of fizzy water? the pressure builds up. The only thing that stops the person from exploding is knowing that it will be over soon and the other person will be thrown off his high horse "Temporaryism has been the black plague and the Jesus of our age" seems to me to be saying that too everyone different times are good or bad. In reference to the rest of my comment, what is the 'Black Plague' for the less successful person, the other person feels its the 'Jesus of our age' |
