and just to add some more... ''Well I'm child and man and child again'' this could have to do with the feeling of starting a band...he lost the excitement of being in a new band with the white stripes and now with the rac's he feels like he did when he first started the stripes.. ''I'm pulling my questions from my shelf I'm asking forgiveness I'm asking about it by myself And I want you to know this'' its like Jack wants to figure somethings about himself away from Meg and wants her to be cool with it and understand that its something he has to do without her. though childhood was a very commen theme for the white stripes so it may just be very literal and we are all reading in to deep. |

is it rediculous to think this song may be about the stripes? alot of the lyrics being about doing things on his own. the back to school but dropping myself off line may be about him releasing this album with out meg. the ''i'm done ripping myself off" line could be about the fact that Jack has all this talent but is restricted in the stripes because of the simplistic style that they are so famous for. not too mention all the color and number 3 limits the stripes lived by....just a thought |

| Radiohead – Anyone Can Play Guitar Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this might be to simple of an interpritation for a radiohead song but to me it just sounds like he wasnt happy with his life and he's counting on becoming famous so he can get away from it. | |

I love how Radiohead this album is (in particular this song). Is it Just me or have all of their voices improved out of site. I mean they were good to start with but it was carried a little by how good the lyrics were but now their singing doing their lyrics justice. Though part of me wonders how much that has to do with them being signed to Interscope, hmmm... Awesome album |

I know in the lyrics that came with the album says "i'm gutting you out" but i'm reaaaally having trouble hearing it. No matter how many listens it still sounds like "I'm gunning you down" I feel stupid |

| Taking Back Sunday – Up Against (Blackout) Lyrics | 19 years ago |

any chance this song is about a relationship struggling due to touring? "Face it, this is what we're up against." is him saying that he's not going to stop touring for her and they have to deal with it. "Waiting, every minute is a minute away" is about her waiting for him to come back or him waiting to finish the tour. "You never feel the jetlag unless youre trying to fit in" may be about touring not effecting him unless when he is in a relationship just brainstorming |

also people keep saying that the "whats it feel like to be a ghost" is aimed at somebody...when i actualy think its aimed at the song writier himself. "before YOU buckled at your knees and said..." Just a thought |

| Taking Back Sunday – What's It Feel Like to Be a Ghost? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i'm pretty sure the whole "whats it feel like to be a ghost?" is refering to a relationship thats ended, it may or may not have been a boyfriend/girlfriend thing, and one of the people involved means absolutely nothing to the other anymore. | |
