| Dropkick Murphys – Time to Go Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I don't care for hockey myself but this song gets me FUCKING PUMPED! If you're not a Bruins fan just shout your teams name instead of black and gold, that'll get everyone movin | |
| Dropkick Murphys – The New American Way Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| nicksquires you got it right on that one, looking at american culture as a whole and how it's been tainted by so many things it's gotten hard to keep track of it. from the pop culture that's exposing our youth to so many negative influences we've tried for ages to protect them from, i could sit here for hours and ramble on about the youth today if i had an old man's free time. how'd i get so danm old at 25??? | |
| Dropkick Murphys – Time to Go Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| i thought they said Boston instead of black and gold til i read it lol | |
| Dropkick Murphys – Good Rats Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I GOOGLEd the hell out of Guinness and it's story with rats in the vats, there were indeed rat bones found in the vats in the 1940s but they had nothing to do with the outcome of the flavor. I've heard a lot of strange tales on the matter, some a little more believable then others. For years I believed that raw meat was used in the brewing process but now I know better, Guinness is brewed with grains as any beer would be. Now that that's out of the way WALK THE PLANK TONIGHT AND RAISE A GLASS!!! |

| Ozzy Osbourne – Running Out Of Time Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| if anyone's read up on ozzy's past they'd find more then enough reason for this song to pretty much be about his experiences. he's very honest and upfront about who he is and how he veiws himself in this song, owning up to his mistakes and regrets. i feel a very deep connection to this song but i'm not posting my personal thoughts because no one will understand anyways. | |
| Marilyn Manson – Man That You Fear Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
profound sorrow. falling further and further down at an unstoppable speed, i don't know how else to explain it. the only words that come to mind are the cries of everyone i left behind. everyone who hurt me for so many years, all the hate for those i thought loved me, and all the unstoppable rage ready to overflow and crush them all. i love them still, and i still want to kill them. what else do you want? fucking flowers and candy?? fuck you, like you know what i went through. |
|
| Joanne Hogg – Kokoro Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| i heard this song while watching the previews of xenosaga way before it came out. i still can't get over what a bittersweet song this is, it's really amazing that it has'nt cought on in all these years! | |
| Shadows Fall – What Drives The Weak Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
this song is about forgetting all the bullshit in life and just cutting loose in the moshpit! nothing is said about substance abuse, just letting go and fucking shit up in the pit with like-minded people. songs like this get me more pumped then any drug, my true release in life is moshing. it's like theropy, letting out all our frustrations at once and everyone has an awesome time doing it too! |

| Fastball – The Way Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
now i know you're all arguing about who's right, but is'nt it the point of this site to let anyone interpret songs how ever they see it as an individual? but i digress... this song looks like it speaks to anyone who's dealt with parents leaving young children for long periods of time. They made up their minds and they started packing They left before the sun came up that day An exit to eternal summer slacking But where were they going without ever knowing the way? some parents think that their kids can take care of themselves, some people are not ready to be parents for various reasons and think that, since they're not alone, the kids will be fine for a few days while i go and party (or whatever). you know what kind of people i'm talking about. They drank up the wine and they got to talking They now had more important things to say And when the car broke down they started walking Where were they going without ever knowing the way? i've known alot of people who can't commit to anything and parenthood is no exception. if mom or dad got's alot of baggage or don't know how to act like parents, things get frustrating fast. some people wonder around looking for the answers to their problems in all the wrong places. Anyone could see the road that they walk on is paved in gold And it's always summer they'll never get cold They'll never get hungry They'll never get old and gray You can see their shadows wandering off somewhere They won't make it home but they don't really care They wanted the highway They're happy there today , today when i was young, i thought this explained so much about my mom, what the connection was like with her buddies and how happy she was to get some time to herself to figure out what was wrong with her and try to fix it. The children woke up and they couldn't find 'em They left before the sun came up that day They just drove off and left it all behind 'em But where were they going without ever knowing the way? the third line always hits me hard. i know she had problems but she did leave us, i still don't know if i should feel bitter or glad she did'nt go crazy with all the things she's gone through. i guess that's what makes this song so endearing for so many people. |

| Iron Maiden – Run To The Hills Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I LOVE THIS SONG!! I'm cree myself, but look a little closer and you can see Iron Maiden is actually refering to the Americas and the verious aboriginals through out. If you really want to know the history just look it up. As for my thoughts on the song, killer vocals, I just can't get enough of the galloping vibe these guys are so good at. It meshes perfectly with the lyrics and the content. By the way, why can't alot of you articulate WHY you love a song? It means alot more then just "This song is the best!" every time you post. Boring. |
|
| Black Sabbath – Psycho Man Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Is'nt this song about serial killers?? Jack the Ripper comes to mind. | |
| Leonard Cohen – Waiting For The Miracle Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| In my opinion, the "miracle" he's waiting for is the emotional rescue (or salvation, if you will) he's been longing for through many years of grief and being alone. When someone finally reaches out to save him, he's been blinded by the constant longing for the perfect rescue that he can't settle for those who've been trying to save him all this time. Now he's too bitter and settled into his own world that he is no longer able to accept anyone's help, just clinging to that old longing he's known so well and for so long. | |
| Pantera – Hollow Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song sounds to me more like one of Phil's best friends had a nervous breakdown. Like he attempted suicide and ended up in the hospital. Mental collapse is very sudden, it drains you emotionally and physically, leaving you in all matter of words, hollow. This can happen over night, and is always compleatly unexpected. Not only that, this is always hell for family and friends, who often ask "is this my fault?" and "i should have done more". The pain and guilt of mental illness is shared by all, and must be cured by all. | |
| Nine Inch Nails – Eraser Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this song carries the same vibe as Just Like You Imagined, a doomed relationship on the peak of fucking up and hurting both partners. | |
| Nirvana – Sappy Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| wasn't this song called SAD? it's just a slower, darker version of SAPPY. | |
| Nirvana – Lake of Fire Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| whatever the meaning, i fucking love this song. the whole Unplugged in New York album is one of the most beautiful and haunting things i've ever heard. | |
| Rob Zombie – House Of 1000 Corpses Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| serial killer music. fucking awesome! | |
| Rob Zombie – Living Dead Girl Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i don't care what it's about, it just fuckin' ROCKS! although i really love the remix, great for clubs and stripper joints. | |
| Nine Inch Nails – Just Like You Imagined Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
sorry to burst anyones bubble, but for me this song comes across as too personal a conflict to be used for something like a war. there's an intimate side to the conflict, like an arguing couple or friends. the way the riffs, beats and piano progress gives one the sense of fighting back tears, holding back such strong feelings as sorrow, hate, rage and guilt for the sake of love, brotherly or otherwise. up to the point where things just collapse, the point where you can no longer hold back anything. it all comes undone and begins to fall apart in your hands. pain, in a sense, just like you imagined. |

| Tapeworm – Vacant Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i've been listening to it alot, it was written by Keenan, so maybe it was based on how Trent was so hard to work with during recording. it sounds like Keenan is pissed about how Trent keeps trying to fashion tapeworm into what he wants, as opposed to listening to what everyone else has to say. i think Keenan performing (only) Vacant pissed off Trent to the point where he did'nt want to work with Keenan anymore. | |
| Nine Inch Nails – Ripe (With Decay) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| it feels more like after letting someting terrible out, like it's been eating you away from the inside like an infection or disese. now that it's out, you can finally rest, even though you may have destroyed the last bit of love someone had for you. you are already dead, the secrets were the only thing keeping you alive. lay down and let yourself rot. hence the name, ripe with decay. my name's also based on this concept. | |
| Nobuo Uematsu – The Promised Land Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| a very haunting requiem. could the womb they speak of be JENOVA? if so, i think it shows a differant side of Sepheroth, almost like a tender child voyaging off to carry out his beloved mothers work. maybe to try heal her? | |
| Nobuo Uematsu – Advent: One Winged Angel Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| ok, so what did any of you THINK of the song? i really liked how the guitar mixes so well with classical instruments. the vocals carry on beautifuly. | |
| Akira Yamaoka – You're Not Here Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| put it on the radio, new love song for heart-broken women. (they need new music anyways) | |
| Marilyn Manson – Shitty Chicken Gang Bang Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| it's SKANKY chicken gang bang FFS. | |
| Metallica – The Unforgiven Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
it's about a child who was neglected by his family and made to do everything for everyone, and they don't care about how it makes him feel. constantly pushed around and picked on simply because he was there, everything he does makes no differance in how he's treated no matter how good he tries to be. now that he's older he does'nt care about anything, he's so damaged he's become withdrawn and feels he can't live in a world that's been so cruel to him. "you labeled me, i'll label you, so i dub thee unforgiven" maybe it's part of a suicide note blaming everyone, possibly his first and only strike against his family. i think he wants everyone to live with the guilt of pushing him to this point, and to live with the fact that everyone knows what they did to him. |
|
| Natalie Imbruglia – Smoke Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
it sounds like the cries of a cutter. neglect and abuse have taken their toll and now she's crying for her parents to help her, but to no avail. "bleeding is breathing" pain is the only way to feel, as one can no longer feel emotions. "bleeding is believing" to believe one still exists, to feel pain. |
|
| KoЯn – Trash Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| 5 years ago after my two cousins stopped abusing me i was left with their cravings for children. i fucking hated myself for these cravings, i only wanted to kill them and then do myself in to stop it all. to this day i stay away from kids because i'm afraid i'll do something stupid like them and if i did i'd kill myself on the spot. | |
| Soul Asylum – Runaway Train Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this song reminds me of when i was 9, i became suicidal and often sat in the middle of the tracks. i don't feel like dragging out old demons so i'll leave it at that. | |
| Pink Floyd – Goodbye Blue Sky Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this always brings a tear to my eye. to me this is saying goodbye to the innocence of youth, being violently torn sceaming and bloody from your childhood and thrown into the barren wastelands to fend for yourself. | |
| Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this song reminds me of going through psychosis as a child, nothing seemed real and i was always in a bit of a daze. when ever someone tried to talk to me, i just kept staring ahead, totally lost to everything. | |
| Slipknot – Scream Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this always gets me in the mood to mosh. i wanna punch someone! | |
| KoЯn – Bottled Up Inside Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
FEELING THE HATE AS THEY CUT DOWN MY SPINE PEELING THE FLESH LIKE THE WAY YOU'VE CUT MINE DO YOU FEEL HAPPY YOU FUCKED UP MY MIND YOU'RE GOING TO PAY THIS TIME nothing else to be said. |
|
| Nine Inch Nails – Just Like You Imagined Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| leave it on repeat when you're pissed off, and see how i came to this conclusion... | |
| KoЯn – Daddy Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i've been through this and trust me he kept it together really well. i can't listen to this very often or it'll send me back into a depression. sexual abuse really fucks you up, makes alot of people suicidal or homicidal. or they bottle up the pain. i can't write much now as i'm trying to hold back my own tears and my hands are shaking. btw i don't have a dad, he died b4 i was born and i'm talking about the two pedos who raped me throughout my youth. | |
| Nine Inch Nails – Just Like You Imagined Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| feels kind of like a violent conflict, start's out as if being pushed around or taunted, at 1:22 one tries to reason his way out, but around 2:10 it's like someone crossed the line. you scream from within and at 2:25 you erupt, in a blind rage you crush everything in reach, as the song progresses you become more and more violent untill you've done something that will haunt you for the rest of your life. only at 3:14 do you gain full realization of what you did, but by then it's too late. | |
