no comments on this? oh, right... 9/11 never happened, it's a gov't conspiracy with the jews and israelis... blah.. All sarcasm aside, it's a great song, imho. |

when i used to listen to Korn, i identified with this song specifically. It's not about gerbils or wrist-slitting goths. It's about the nice guy, the guy who has to put up with everyone's shit, help them with their problems, and not burden them with his. I'm still the same person at the core. I listen to other people and their problems, and serve as their emotional outlet, and often offer (in my opinion) good advice. However, all of these people who i help by listening have all of their own problems, and i would feel guilty burdening them with my issues and being too nice to tell them i don't want to hear it. The pain of having no one to vocalize my fears, grief, hell, teenage angst, among other feelings pushed me further and further into the "darker" music and bands. Then I got a wonderful girlfriend who cares and managed to get me to open up. Now I still listen to some of my darker bands, I enjoy slipknot, hatebreed, and the like, but i also enjoy country (which she hates), I still can't stand pop and rap but this song helped me cope when i had no other mechanism in sight, but Hatebreed helped me push through life, and still does. |

A great salute to those who fight for us. People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. -George Orwell |
