| Like A Midsummer Night's Dream this song is amazingly dreamy. I agree it's about a couple deeply in love. Their love is so profound it enhances their perception of all around them. Everything is sublime and full of splendor as they are captivated in the bliss of their love, so much so that the wonderfully perfect night they experience must be a dream, from which they wake as the sun rises. | |

Wow, the_toolshed. Anyway, behold my interpretation: A guy is cautious about his relationship with girl. "Don't build your world around volcanoes/ melt you down." Love is a precious thing to him, so he doesn't want to start a serious relationship when there's already signs of conflict. The girl responds by pretty much saying are you sure you know what you want? She confesses her love for him and tells him how it pains her. She wants to receive the same love that she's offering. The guy interjects saying, look sistah friend. I'm looking for a meaningful relationship whatever that is. I'm trying to understand my reasons for loving. Love is profound and love is as vital as blood. I don't want to jump into something so sacred haphazardly. And, I fear you're too young emotionally/intellectually to understand that kind of love. |
