this song makes me think about life, and then death in one part... "And from the ballroom floor we are in celebration, one good stretch before our hibernation. Our dreams assured, and we all, we’ll sleep well." maybe the ballroom floor is life, and the hibernation is death. the whole dreams assured part could refer to faith, knowin where you're going...or to the fact that maybe the girl he is singing about (i dont think its about summer) and him we'll be together. so when they die they'll be happy, i.e. sleeping well. either way, amazing song, it and heaven here are prolly my two favs off the album. |

Does this song remind anybody of maybe the book of Revelation? Like, maybe telling the story of Peter when he was showed what's gonna happen? Maybe not the entire song, and it doesn't pick up every detail as to what happens in the Bible. But some of the words remind me of it. I'm not saying this is what Chris meant when he wrote it, i think he was writing about some of the things he has faced comin up through the music business. Either way its a great song, anyone know of a place to get it? besides the beginning of the CD? |
