According to Tom Petty, this song was ad-libbed in about 45 seconds while in between recording many other songs in one day. He said that the producer Jimmy Iovine couldn't stand it when they did that because they were using up valuable studio time. Regardless, it's a cool song and it ended up on their Playback boxed set. |

The first time I heard this song, I was browsing www.youtube.com and came upon a user-created still photo montage of horrific car crashes. There was no blood, just the aftermath of some of the worst vehicle accidents in history. The photo montage was dubbed over with this Slipknot song. Now every time I hear it, I can't get those images out of my mind. From reading your interpretations, it sounds like it has nothing to do with what the user showed in his images, but at the same time, it seemed to fit perfectly. I think someone took the video down, because I can't find it anymore. |

Not only was this a terrific album, lately I have seen it's relevance greatly enhanced now that we are living life with daily poltical corruption in the US Government and Presidency, and how they have created a whole life with war when none was necessary. There are many war undertones (mainly World War II) on The Wall and on The Final Cut. That's just my opionion, but I am sticking to it. |

I am a huge U2 fan. Has anyone ever noticed that the line that says "I had opera in my head". In U2's most recent hit "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own", Bono says "You’re the reason why the opera is in me…". Cool. |
