Ingram Hill – Your Smiling Face Lyrics 19 years ago
This song has Ingram Hill's trademark Southern charm stamped all over it. I dare you to try to keep still when Justin starts singing about getting arrested.

Ingram Hill – What If I'm Right Lyrics 19 years ago
Good song. I'm fond of the second verse, and the bridge has a great dynamic.

Ingram Hill – To Your Grave Lyrics 19 years ago
God, what a fabulously creepy song. Every word has weight & suspense to it. I especially like the bridge.

Ingram Hill – Slippin' Out Lyrics 19 years ago
Ahh, yes, the infamous "Shea song". This is not complex, but when you hear the melodies/harmonies, you realize it doesn't need to be. It's a good song.

Ingram Hill – Never Be The Same Lyrics 19 years ago
I adore this song. It's precise and it's witty, and the hook will be stuck in your head for the days. Not to mention "now she's sorry, desperate, feeliing blue"... :P

Ingram Hill – Maybe It's Me Lyrics 19 years ago
I don't love this song the way a lot of other Ingram Hill fans do, but I can appreciate the vulnerability it shows. It's nice to see somebody taking the blame (or perceived blame) for the ending of a relationship.

Ingram Hill – Hangin' Around Again Lyrics 19 years ago
This is a great song to open a show with - as the band obviously knows, since they did so for more than 2 years. It's dynamic and the words just sort of roll off one's tongue. I especially like the "waiting for you to see my light" bit.

I greatly prefer this version of the song over the original.

Ingram Hill – Timing Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is tricky in that it's filled with vaguely artsy sentences...but I think it's about being on the road. Ingram Hill have done more than 200 shows a year every year since 2000...I'd imagine that makes for a lot of "I've got to go, but we're not over" situations in their relationships.

Ingram Hill – Waste It All On You Lyrics 19 years ago
I agree. This song isn't one the band tends to play live or talk about, but I think she cheated on him too. It's a very nice piece - I like the emotions and the vivid mental picture it creates.

Ingram Hill – Will I Ever Make It Home Lyrics 19 years ago
I find it amusing that somebody correctly guessed where the song was written.

This is not the band's best work, in my opinion, but it's good nonetheless.

Ingram Hill – The Captain Lyrics 19 years ago
Yes ma'am, that's correct. Justin's nephew was ill and had to stay in the hospital overnight a couple years ago. Out of what I'm sure was that stressful time came "The Captain"...which is probably my favorite song ever.

Ingram Hill – Day Your Luck Runs Out Lyrics 19 years ago
Love the end of the pre-chorus and the beginning of the chorus on this one.

Ingram Hill – Call It My Way Lyrics 19 years ago
This is the most mature Ingram Hill song to date, in my opinion. The chorus and the vocal harmonies in the bridge kill me every time. These boys need to write more stuff with David Ryan Harris.

Ingram Hill – Brother's Keeper Lyrics 19 years ago
I love the way Justin sings "hit the bottle or his wife..." in this song.

Ingram Hill – Almost Perfect Lyrics 19 years ago
For what it's worth, this song was written (with the help of Tonic's Emerson Hart) by Ingram Hill's guitarist, Phil Bogard, about his relationship with Jessica Harp of The Wreckers.
