| I used to like this song when I was younger, and while I still like the melody, I can't fully agree with the lyrics. Being a bitch is nothing but sign of weak character. Treating otrher people in a bad and bitchy manner is never justified, nor something to be proud of. I suppose the message of this song is that you have to accept all sides of me, which is something I can support, but bitch is not the word I'd use to spread this message as it is always an extremely negative trait in a person. "maybe one day it will be us doing the persecuting?" I don't see that as very likely, as pagans do not believe that they have the Only Truth and everyone else are wrong. Pagans in general haven't harmed others in the name of their religious views, there have been other reasons - not that it would make the situation much better... I love this song, the fact that it also has an important message just makes it even better. The melody sounds somehow familiar though, but I can't figure out where I've heard it before. |
