The thing about it being about his father makes sense.. at least someones father.. first verses is exactly like a dad talking to his son about life.. only thing that throws me off that thing is "...life's too short anyway but at least it's better then average as long as you got me and i got you you know we'll got a lot to go around i'll be your friend your other brother another love to come and comfort you " That really sounds to me like he's singing to a boyfriend, but I don't know. Either way it's a brilliant song, melody is beautiful and he sings it perfect for the song, the lyrics are okay, though a bit confusing. Definitely a 10/10 from me |

Beautiful song! First verses, It's been 1 year since the girl broke up with him but he still loves her and wants her to come over. And she obviously can't really let go of him either since she still keeps his phone number in her purce Mid verses, 4 years has now gone by and he has been able to let her go but that december day he just had to call her. Still he wishes he hadn't done that because of the pain it can dig up again. Jump back in the timeline to before verse 1 how she dumped him The tattoo thing I don't understand And now, after he called her 4 years later he just can't let go of her and (via the refrain that's the last "chapter" of the story from the first time it's played to the last) wants her to give him another chance to show her that he can be a really great guy for her. It touches my soul every time I hear it. |
