Basically I'm going to have to just agree with all of those who said it's about society, and others trying to control you (in every way). I guess I see it as parents telling their children what to do, how to dress, act, etc., but on a much bigger scale, society is a better way to think of it. Society labeling you, and telling you how to live and think, instead of how you want to live and think. |

Basically I see it as the band telling everyone that they WILL have their music heard, and some people will give them a bad name, but they will still make sure that everyone hears it. Everything they want to get across, want to tell the people, will "mark me as a sinner" by all those who go against what he's saying. So if they sing about an opressive government, all those who are pro-government will talk bad about them and call them sinners. "People can no longer cover their eyes". Basically, they're going to make sure that the message is heard and that can't be ignored. So basically it's just that everyone will remember the night where they've rallied people together into one big thing and their are 10,000 fists in the air. My humble opinion, I could be wrong. |

Of course the only people posting about it being a song about killing Jews probably know LITTLE to no German, so why listen to them in the first place? I know limited German, so I won't make ANY assumptions to what it's about. I will say though that while looking in the english section may help, people RARELY get the translations right, so your best bet is to learn Deutsch. Have fun. |

From what I can tell, someone is lying to them, causing them pain, making them weaker and weaker, and even though the narrator realizes he's being lied to, he still grows weaker by the "parasite". He still believes the parasite even though no one believes him and the parasite just hurts him more and more. This is just my opinion but from what I can tell, this sounds about right. |

Someone's trying to make you just like them, and the song is saying I'm not going to be the same [bad] person you are, so while you think your helping, your just standing in my way to be myself. I think it's about how we're told we're free, but when you think about it, everyone is trying to control you. From your parents, to your teachers, to your boss, to the government, and it's about how being "free" is a tragedy when you still can't be what you want to be, or be yourself in some cases. My favorite lines are: "Never a minute has passed you all by When they haven’t invaded your soul" -They try to invade you and control you.- This is just my opinion but all the same, I hold a very deep respect for this song. |
