a few missed lyrics, here's what i hear * Felony dem fellows running in my dream * Classroom’s not for me * Change my name, No! * Check the radio again and all that shines there's no time My lines will make your mind work in overtime * Till you slow it down, use turbo too soon Vroom vroom then wanna blast off unto the moon * Chorus: Make a deal, its for real, tell me what you know * This song is pretty cryptic, but I think the basis is that Matisyahu feels lucky to be alive because of all the crazy shit he used to get into when he was young. Now he's on the other side, is looking back, and giving advice to those still caught up in self-destructive ways. I believe there are also themes of integrity, humility, and karma/do unto others/golden rule, pick your flavor. I think there are also some literal references to his career. That's all! |
