i rmember i used the lyrics "all ive undergone/i will keep on" in this art project i did in high school. the project was to make something that deals with 9/11 but it had to be comforting, like make something that lets everyone know theres still hope. well anyway, i drew the towers, a huge american flag in the back, and strung those 2 lines across the page, but chenged the "i've" to "we've". lets just say a lot of people were touched and moved by it, my art teacher especially. it was hung up and shit for everyone in the school to see, and, yeah, that just shows you the power of NIN and trent's lyrics. i love nin. |

this song fucking BUMPS. i cannot wait for Year Zero. from what I read in a recent Rolling Stone article, its a concept album, set in the year 2022, theres mind control drugs in the water, the government runs everything and i loosely base it on the gonvernment from V for Vendetta. i dunno the whole deal about the presence (the hand that reaches down from the heavens). maybe its a play on the lyrics to "The Wretched"? (the clouds will part/the sky cracks open/and god himself will reach his fucking arm through...) i love nin. i am stoked. |

i really dont know, because i dont listen to them at all, but i dont think this song sounds like the foo fighters, it sounds more like a Pixies song. awesome song and great CD nonetheless. seen trent twice, and they were the best concerts ive ever been to. i highly recommend to anyone who is a nin fan to catch them live, its a surreal experience. Year Zero (new NIN CD) due out this spring, i think april to be exact. exciting! |

This song is on the cd Sad Sappy Sucker, which was supposed to be their first official release before they went with This Is A Long Drive... Myself being a big Modest Mouse fan, I've never heard the cd personally, because I've heard from a lot of people that it sucks - it's a "for hardcore fans only" cd. I don't know, maybe I'll check it out eventually. |

im drunk, so please, bear with me here.
to me, i always thought this song was about drugs. but, drugs in a 'self-medicating' sort of way. i thought it was about how throughout the years, people have turned to different drugs and methods to escape reality and become happy. i realized throughout high school and such that people you'd least expect are doing drugs, drinking or smoking pot sort of. i thought thats what josh meants when he sings "its a new way". everyones doing it. everyones done it. no matter what, some people out there love drugs and keep taking them. but in the end, we just get stuck in that period and never change with the times. i think thats what he means when josh says: "all of us cast asides became what has become." i dont know, im fuckin drunk. |

is it twilight's blue, or twilight's moon? the distortion in his voice makes it hard to decpiher the lyrics. awesome song by the way, id love to learn it on gutiar. or the drums. i can definitely see the connections with Little Red Riding Hood and The Village. this song is just an epic. and its fucking damn good. |

i think the song is about identifying yourself and knowing who you are, and in the process, making other people identify you as well. he says "no one else is here", "no one else gets high", it seems as if he can't find someone (a friend possibly) to identify himself with because no one else is like him, and what he wants is someone like him that he can be around and just feel like himself. but, no one gets high, no one comes clean, no one is like him. so, he turns to music to help him identify who he is as a person. and within that music, he finds all that he was looking for. |

i love this song. i love how kasabian incorporate hip-hopish beats with techno synths and rock gutiars. its fucking brilliant. the drums in this song kick ass. to me, this song can go many ways. in one way, i can see how he wrote the lyrics just channel surfing, but i can also imagine it being about a crook whose on the run from the cops. great tune to dance to. |

i think this song is about how the singer had something going on with a girl, but he just didn't follow up on it. and now she's gone away, and he'll try anything to get back to that point they once were. and with the chorus, i think hes just saying: "goddamn! i couldve loved and i had a taste of it, and now i want the whole thing, right now." |
