| OK Go – The House Wins Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| honestly, i dont think this song is actually about a HOUSE. 'the house always wins' is a phrase usually used in casino gambling, saying that the house or the casino always has a way of winning in the end. a dealer might lose here and there, but overall, the casino makes money. the song, in my opinion, is referring to the fact that things will always find a way to get you down no matter what. there's always something trying to bring you down in life. | |

| I LOVED this song right when I first heard it...and then one line totally ruined it. When he says "...lost my way now," it seriously sounded like "...lost my weiner." Now I can't listen to the song without hearing that. Did anyone else hear it? This sucks. | |
| Dave Barnes – Prayers of the Saints Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This one's tricky. It's my favorite song of Dave Barnes's and it annoys me that I don't understand it. I'd have to guess that the parents found out that their baby has cancer, praying to god (and saints) that thier child will survive. I'm not sure what "somewhere a saint is praying for you" has to do with it, but I think it just gives the act of prayer a more universal effect. | |
| Dashboard Confessional – The Secret's In The Telling Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This seems to me like a Romeo and Juliet situation (not necessarily having to do with parents) however, in the case of this song, both lovers in the end accept the fact that they will never be together. | |
| Rob Thomas – Ever the Same Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Really, this is one of the best straight up love songs I've ever heard. I was browsing for songs that say just plain "I love you" through my media player. Over thousands of songs, I was surprised to find that this was at the top, even above Edwin's "I'll Be." | |
| Trading Yesterday – The Beauty & The Tragedy Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I think the main idea of this song is that love is both happiness and misery, though ultimately, it's a positive thing. The first stanza is a little hard to incorporate, but the way I see it, he addresses the individual whom he is in a rather turbulent relationship with at the moment. Though they fight and argue, he reassures her that their affections are never a bad thing. Love is supposed to be painful and distressing, but in the end, it’s the best thing you’ll ever do. In the chorus, the speaker elaborates on the fact that love is an oxymoron of sorts, being both murderous and life saving. It will “tear away dreams” and break some hearts, but in the grand scheme of things, “only love” can bring you to the height of your life, to real hope. The third stanza continues to say that every day is a new day and a new chance to find true love. Eventually you’ll find it. Love is both beautiful and tragic. It’s a great song and it really states clearly how double-edged an emotion like love really is. Everything about it is beneficial, whether in pain or pleasure; the pain you will learn from and the pleasure you will enjoy. |

Some of the lyrics are wrong, nothing significant, just little things here and there. The real lyrics are as follows (accuracy verified from the CD booklet): We watch the season Pull up its own stakes And catch the last weekend Of the last week Before the gold and the glimmer have been replaced Another sun soaked season fades away You have stolen my heart You have stolen my heart Invitation only Grand farewells Crash the best one Of the best ones Clear liquor and cloudy eyed Too early to say goodnight You have stolen my heart You have stolen my heart And from the ballroom floor We are in celebration One good stretch before our hibernation Our dreams assured and we all Will sleep well Sleep well You have stolen You have stolen You have stolen my heart Watch you spin around In your highest heels You are the best one Of the best ones And we All Look Like We Feel You have stolen my heart I ADORE the new single version. The slightly faster speed and beat were exactly what the song needed. I do, also, like the video a lot. I feel the song is about summer bliss and “summer love.” Generally, the other details are self-explanatory. |

Doesn't anybody have the CD? maybe the booklet has the actual lyrics in it? No? Anyways, I'm sure he says "So Fair" instead of "so thin". And I think "All our work is rated" sounds like it makes more sense than "raided" don't you think? Also, listening to the song, I think he says "All of our WORTH is rated again" in the second chorus. Not sure if that's what it is, but i'm just throwing that out there. |
