I believe that this song is about a person with a "dark side" Sort of like the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The conflict between the two sides of this person eventually drive them to think about about suicide. Terminate the enemy Eradicate the hated enemy The above lines make me think the person is thinking about getting rid of the enemy in any way possible. I am an enemy My very greatest enemy these lines lead me to believe the enemy is inside the speaker, rather then being external. |

This is just my 2 cents, but I play a lot of fantasy games like World of Warcraft and others like that so when I hear this song, I think of someone being tortured.catch me as i fall say you're here and it's all over now speaking to the atmosphere no one's here and i fall into myself this truth drives me into madness i know i can stop the pain if i will it all away I think that bit is a prayer to end the pain but it doesnt work. i'm frightened by what i see but somehow i know that there's much more to come immobilized by my fear and soon to be blinded by tears i can stop the pain if i will it all away is about the fear the person feels about the torture. and I think the Fallen Angels part (this is where the fantasy influence comes out) is about the person dying and then being raised as one of the undead because it says upon my end shall I begin. |
