It's been said that "Given to Fly" is about surfing, you know. Eddie tends to lie a lot about about his lyrics. Part of it is his love of screwing with the media, I guess. Anyway, most of what he writes is fairly open to interpretation and easily applied to things on a more universal level. The exception to that is his more politically-charged songs, and I tend to like those a lot less. Go figure. |
