Chameleon Circuit – Blink Lyrics 16 years ago
This song recounts the events of series 3, episode 10 of the revived Doctor Who series. "Blink" is the title of the episode, which was written by Stephen Moffet.

(SPOILER ALERT)
Sally Sparrow is the episode's protagonist. The first verse is a letter from her friend, who is sent back in time by aliens called "Weeping Angels" at the beginning of the episode. The Easter Egg mentioned in this song is a message from the Doctor hidden in Sparrow's DVD collection. This message explains that the Doctor and his companion are stuck in the year 1969, and Sparrow must send the TARDIS (the "funny blue box") to them before the Weeping Angels break into it and absorb the Heart of the Tardis. The sun going out is one of the possible consequences of this absorption. He explains that the Angels are impossibly fast, but they are "quantum locked", meaning that they turn to stone when seen. Sparrow is only safe as long as she doesn't blink.

I think that about covers it... God, I love filk.

Voltaire – BRAINS! Lyrics 18 years ago
I just discovered Voltaire, and latched on in the obsessive way I do-- now, this association with Billy and Mandy has dissapointed me greatly.
Snazzy tune, though.

Coheed and Cambria – Wake Up Lyrics 19 years ago
No one poisoned anyone.

This has NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING to do with Newo.

This is the Writer, a man who is creating a comic that Coheed, Cambria, Claudio, Newo, ect are all charactors in. He is being driven insane by the emotional pain of his girlfriend, Erica Court, having cheated on him and dumped him. This is a song about his love of her, and his hate of her-- 'I love you' later becomes 'I loved you', mentions of both kisses and killings...

'The Suffering' is basically the same thing, with the edge of a freying psche. And Queen-esque vocals.

They'll fix you right up. Best Coheed resource ever.

Coheed and Cambria – The Willing Well IV: The Final Cut Lyrics 19 years ago
Ok... these are Claudio Sanchez's exact words about this song:
"The Writer gets brought to this guillotine with wings, and at the guillotine is his love, Erica Court. and the blade comes down on the Character, but he doesn't die--he realizes what he has to do."

As far as I know Ambellina died in the song before this.

It's a trippy reality-bending scene. The Writer is getting more and more insane, has entered his own comic book, and is switching back and forth between Himself and His Charactor. But, now the Charactor knows what to do... and we won't for several months at best....
