It seems to me he is thinking about his soulmate.. that fact that he has no more feelings for them but still refers to them as Beloved.. Like they were together before, and things didn't work out but he is still so proud of what they had when they had it. And he knows that they have eternity to love each other, so he will not regret ending things, and neither will his Beloved. I think he's also telling them that he still thinks about them, and always will even if feelings die away. It's a "goodbye for now" sort of thing. |

Maybe going along with the Darkangel theme.. he never thought it would go that far, that he would get to be so far away from home.. and though he is that far, he knows he carries that strength and light with him on his journey, and it will lead him to victory. |
