In the song, I really can't understand the lyrics but now reading them, . . . man, it blows my mind. In my opinion, Underoath has the best lyrics I have ever seen. I just wish that they would do more acoustic songs so that you could really understand the music. And I don't care what anyone says about Christian bands, I love them, and totally support them all with songs about God. Why can't you people just understand that its a beautiful song, its about God and thats what makes it even more beautiful. |

I believe that this song is about remembering who you were before Christ. It only could have been Him who changed you, and thanking Him for everything, but I can never express my love and gratitude, because I'm human I can never repay Him for all He did. But the good part about this is that God only want to love you, so all you have to do is love HIm and it will be good enough. |

Well basically I think that this song is saying "I'm tired of looking to the world fo rcomfort and love. No one could ever give me more than God can. He'll always be there, even when my closest friends aren't. He will be more of a Father than any earthly father could ever be, and I don't need anything but Him. Even though it may seem that those who curse you have life so much easier, I'll forget what my eyes see as my heart remembers that they only prosper in this world because they are of this world and I'm not. I believe this song is talking about making a decision in life to who you're going to follow. In the song it says, "Grey’s my favorite color Black and white has never been my thing, I’ll take my drink lukewarm now, Hot and cold is not the thing for me" Its like they are stuck between God and the world, and asking God to help them to see the light basically. To help them to decipher wrong from right and to give them the drive to do good. In the end, they want to make absolute decisions about the way they're living and do not want to be lustless and dull, but have fire and passion. Well, thats the way I feel about it. I totally love this song! This should be every girl's guide to life. It really has a message that God is really preparing someone for you, and even you for someone, but all you have to do is wait. He'll come through in the end for you, you just have to trust Him. This sets a really good example for not only girls, but guys to keep themselves pure until they are married. When I first heard this song I was really having a hard time with the whole issue of dating and what not, but this really helped me to see things clearly. |

This is a really beautiful song that I love sooooooooo much. Actually this is the song that really got me hooked on Flyleaf. Their lyrics are really beautiful and powerful, simple but complex. I believe that this is a song is about true love & friendship and wanting to be there for that friend no matter what happens in life. Through all the hard times, that friend has been there for you and even though you might not have always been there for them, you want to tell them how much you appreciate them. I loved this song so much that I even dedicated it and Broken Wings( also by Flyleaf) to my best friend. Flyleaf rocks! |
