I believe this is a song about a person telling his loved one not to fear death because it's natural and because love doesn't end in this world. There's definitely no suicide involved due to the tone of death being an "everyday" process. And it's impossible this is about the "Jonestown Massacre" because that happened two years later, after the song was released. |

The song is about a girl whose world is destroyed by a change beyond her control. I think it's a very sad but positive song, it doesn't glorifies the girl's loss, the title implies the girl leaves, she walks away from the place where "all her things are scattered everywhere", her "lucky star" is gone but she didn't sit and watch, crying endlessly, she'll start all over again. |
