Hanson – When You're Gone Lyrics 19 years ago
this is my favorite hanson song, shame they dont write like this more often and most of their career seems like a long pop love song.. the new album is good, and i never thought i would be complimenting this band, so i just wanted to mention i hope this trend continues. he will have better luck attracting the young adult feild but may lose younger female fans.

some how i strongly doubt that this is one of hansons worse songs lyrically like made out, as a matter of fact its probably one of very few that is good. this line that people here finds 'stupid' is just suppose to show how lifes beautys no longer mean anything to him.. i realize it rhymes but your not fully analyzing instead your nit picking.

after reading i assume he is religious, so maybe someone with a better understanding of the bible could elaborate better, but i will take a stab anyway.

the order of this seems to tell a story. first he is questioning and waiting ("How the road feels so long", "Where do you go when your gone?") his life is looked as a dream ("I just want to stay dreaming, No I just don't want to wake") wake meaning death. but then he is tested and passes ("Im left alone and beaten For this cross I choose to bear") which leads him to truth ("Well I finally found what I'm looking for") voices could be the saved dying? ("Well the voices fall like timber") as things turn for the worse ("And the fear it pours like rain") he dies and is saved ("And my heart is crushed cinders") 'ashes' ("But where do you go, When you're gone?") he's asking will you go to heaven...

i agree and hope the band continues to sway from love pop and into deeper issues that they seem capable of.

Hanson – Strong Enough To Break Lyrics 19 years ago
sounds like he's questioning the system. ("Just a figure in a big Monopoly game, Struggle is the price you pay") he starts to notice lifes misconceptions. ("Nothing ever seems to change","No one ever takes the blame") lyric corrections: ("Scenarios to add to your hypocrisy") and ("Carry on just a pawn and the same old song I'm still holding on") he feels used and tricked by the world.

("The fabric is about to fray") might be meant as a opposite to ("Nothing ever seems to change") it also sounds like he may be describing anxiety here. ("I start feeling the walls close in") as if everything hits him at once, and the rebellion may cause him to 'break'.

Hanson – Believe Lyrics 19 years ago
it sounds like he finds faith? ("I was holding on, now I'm letting go This is nothing more than a picture show") maybe life is fake and he feels enlightened past possesions ("Busy keeping less, never getting more","This kind of life I can't afford") and now he's scared and doubting the importance of this life ("Everything I knew, now I hardly know","This kind of life is all I know") he's seeing through the ("Layers of lies"),and then is ("feeling emptiness") and perhaps becoming moral before finding his next life. ("Sorry I can't seem to stay But this bird was meant to fly away, fly away"), last line ("I CAN'T believe in nothing")
