Iron Maiden – The Thin Line Between Love And Hate Lyrics 19 years ago
I've not long Finished reading Brave new World, and what RainbowDemon is saying really fits the song well.

"At what age begin to learn
of which way out we will turn"
This Seems to be talking about the 'conditioning' that every child in Brave new world have to go through. At what age do they begin their path? As soon as they are decanted, they have their social class specified and have no way to change that.

This seems to follow John's Final bleak outlook on life and society very well, about how he feels everything is much too complicated, not just a good and bad, or love and hate. The thin Line between love and Hate, for John, seems to be crossed when Lenina trys moving on John, who Loved her, but snaps at the sight of her (last chapter) and whips her almost. if not, to death.

Well, thats how i see the song anyway. Great song.

Iron Maiden – Face In The Sand Lyrics 19 years ago
Good o' Bruce, not making things obvious or easy to work out :D

Is the song is about Some near-Apocolyptical war? Maybe
"I wait for the signs, they tell me true
I see the signs of the end"

"the end never came
And we're digging the graves
And we're loading the guns for the kill"
This seems to Be about how when you thihnk everything is going to end, It just gets worse and worse. (Check 'Fates Warning' - "Or They the lucky ones that are Taken away")

This song is a toughie, It could be about the War in Iraq, It could be apocolyptic, (23:58 esque), but it has a very dark feel to it. I always seem to invisage that bit from Terminator 2(i think) With the scorched playground after the Nukes. Maybe that is "the Sand", the remains of a nuclear holocaust.
Thats just how i see it anyway ;)

Iron Maiden – The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg Lyrics 19 years ago
Hmm.. What Rebbel Ace Wrote, if it is indeed rea, would fit with the song.
"Let me tell you 'bout my dreams" Could be a referrence to His Nightmares, and so could "I'm able to see things, things I don't want to see" (Seems a bit remenicant of 'The Clairvoyant')

And if indeed, Breeg did burn the house down, "My sins are many, my guilt is too heavy" could be referring to how he is bottling up all of his guilt and fear inside him, and It is destroying him (the cause of his nightmares?)

There seem to be a lot of religious references, maybe thats just Maiden being Maiden (New Frontier, NotB, Revalations :P) Or it might be pointing at Breegs obsession with the bible. Who knows.

But it seems suspicious that -every- piece of evidence of Breeg's Existence was destroyed. Rebbel's Stroy does seem to ring bells somewhere, but I cant place where from. I recognise the story from somewhere, especially the House fire, And the Nightmares.

But either way, a very dark, very good song. Cant wait for the New album. Up the Irons.
