| The Casualties – 25 years too late Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| jellobainafra, the thing is hippies were hated by the punks as the hippies are seen to have sold out, for all their ideas about revolution, as soon as the war ended they had nothing else to stand on and so fell apart and become the corporate society that punk then rose up against, now its ironic that the casualties are bitching about hippies as they really are no better then them as they are a bunch of hypocrites. | |
| Minor Threat – Straight Edge Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I've never understood sXe, it manages to mix conservative right wing views, of no drinking, drugs, or promiscuous sex, with left wing animal rights, and liberalism, and still manages to work. this isnt a criticism of it, good work to anyone who can live their whole life like that, but by calling yourself sXe isnt that just labelling yourself as another stereotype? | |

| Thrice – Deadbolt Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Thrice may not be a christian band, but with a christian writing the lyrics and a number of christians in the band, their beliefs will (inadvertantly) come out in their songs, which is what happens in this song, its not a christian song, but it a song with a christian theme. | |
| Descendents – 'Merican Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I come from the land of Ben Franklin, Twain and Poe and Walt Whitman. Otis Redding, Ellington, The country that I love… But it’s the land of the slaves, and the Klu Klux Klan, The Haymarket Riot, and the Great Depression Joe McCarthy, Viet Nam It’s the sickest joke I know ------------------------------------ those two stanzas sum up the entire song for me, its about being proud of your accompishes, the artists and those that did so much for establishing your history, but at the same time dont forget the fuck ups, every country has things that it should be proud of, but it shouldnt forget them amongst the good, otherwise it will repeat them |

| The Distillers – The Young Crazed Peeling Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Amazing how easy the term sellout is thrown about, selling out is giving up who you were and what you value for money. Now i dont know everything about Distillers, but is there anywhere they criticise capitalist society? if not, they arnt selling out. Sure they are attracting a wider audience, but they arnt selling out. Kids will always find punk, through mtv or other ways, how many bands have myspace now, myspace is popular OMGZ they are teh sellouts tehy hav sumfin popular. Kids will always find out about punk, through various mediums, Greenday, Good Charlotte, The Offspring, Blink182, how many have been introduced to punk through these bands and stuck around. | |
| NOFX – The Marxist Brothers Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| those that say Rage arnt sellouts, if NOFX suddenly signed up with EMI, would you call them sellouts? Its the same with Rage on EPIC. And im not 100% sure if it was a dig at propagandhi, but it could well be, for propagandhi blasted Fat Mike for the Rock against Bush | |
| Crass – Mother Earth Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| from memory mother earth was also the name of an anarchist magazine from 1906 to 1917, whether or not it has anything to do with this song is another matter entirely, but considering crass's political views, i wouldnt be surprised if there was a relation somewhere. | |
