Well Id say that just about the only obvious thing about this song now, before the release of the album or any stories around it, is that this part of the Prize Fighters' story is told by coheed. the only other assumption ill make is that Moses ends up killing Arthur McCloud. And thats just because of the title of their other song "The Missing McCloud Boys". Another guess could be Arthur is the boys' father and he goes after Moses to ask questions about the boys missing, hearing that moses may know where they are, and fights him and dies. All of these assumptions are a little much considering there is no info on Jesse's stories as the Prizefighter Inferno thus far, but I always love making guesses anywho ! Id say this song is a pretty straigh foreward kick ass rock song with some clear southern rock influence ! Man the backup vocals on this track remind me of Axl Rose's voice. And not that I was a big Axl Rose fan, but you still gotta appreciate the talent. Fire Deuce Rocks !!! |

I know it says that our city will be in ruins when our greatest source of pride is Man, so to speak, so why does it say "No woman is a whore" at the bottom? Wouldn't that be a good thing? I can only see that being a bad thing if this was told from like a male's point of view, but it's obviously Kezia's. I think what this line is saying is that equality may take till the end of civilization, but she knows it will happen, and that a monument to remember such an accomplishment would be the greatest source of pride in that kind of world, for women especially. oh and it doesnt say the monument is a man, what their saying is that it would be a statue showing the simple things that we used to think made us so different/unequal (gender crowns,dicks & ribs), for all to remember that we really arent that different, and neither man nor women is better then the other, but equal. That just my guess, I love this song though, and Protest is a sweet band. Hope I helped you out some ! :) |

| I think Brain Stew made a solid guess when he interpreted it, and I think rix was just a little bit more acurate, either way, both really good interpretations. The only problem I have with rix's interpretation is the part where he said the Time Consumer is the poison killing his children. I believe the Time Consumer is Coheed, and I have a few reasons for believing this. First of all, there is the fact that the even though this song isnt linear, its phrases stay within the same times of one another, and thus it wouldnt jump from mayo & coheed's convo to after the fact that he killed his kids. 2nd, on of the key factors in the conversation is the fact that Coheed has until 2:00PM to kill his kids. So when the converstaion is ending, Coheed has become a Time Consumer for Mayo, taking up time to do the dirty work of killing his kids for Mayo's sake. Finally, there is the lyrics from 2113. Generally, most lyric sites will say on the line "In The Words, of Father to Son, Thy Kingdom Come", they write TO TIME CONSUMER: before it. I think that this or could be Jesse telling Coheed that he is going to give Claudio the chance to save the world, after becoming the MonStar. Also, 2113 & Time Consumer clearly are connected, I just cant fully connect it. I know there may be a few wholes in my guess, like the fact that supposedly 2113 doesnt have anything to do with Jesse, but it is just a random guess based on some of the things I connected between mixing information. Id appreciate feedback & Corrections on my little blurb here, thanks a lot. | |

Couple Comments on this song/story and the comments on here. First of all, acidpus, there's no such thing as a 21/13 time sig, so, yea, um, that doesnt make sense. Next I just wanted to say to all the people like inmyhead, do your research before you say coheed sounds like hundreds of other bands today, I doubt you could name more than a few, realistically, and have people agree with you, and as much as I love rush, and fully appreaciate them, I do think that with the exception of Neil/Josh being compared, the rest of the music is very comparable. Again, do your research before you label someone like coheed the same as everyone else, I made that mistake once. Finally, WHO/WHAT IS TIME CONSUMER !!!!!!!!!????? Everyone's explination of the story has really helped me out and I thank them for it, but Ive yet to discover what or who the Time Consumer is.Id appreciate any posts on it :), thanks ! Also, 2113 is the best bonus track to ever exsist. |
