Well, the meaning is simple, its about a so called road hog. Someone whos got a car and just manages to live on the little money they can come up with, always on the road, enjoying life. I think the lyrics and the meaning are just as simple as that life would be. Its an awesome song, never seen the video though, unfortuantly. |

Yea, I have the duel sided disk as well. He fell asleep on a plane and woke up in this country, and had to return. Raine felt like he was abandoning these poor people. This song also says how different life is over there... Its not "camouflaged with gold", its very earthly and primative, not covered in man made devices that make life so much easier. It must have been such a culture shock for Raine, visiting these places. I don't blame any body for pittying people in those places. And I have alot of respect for anyone who would be willing to go over there and help people, or even donating money. This song was great in it entirity, The cage was right in saying how it wasn't overproduced, thats what made it such a great song. It has a very sad feeling to it, yet it is a beautiful song. I'm glad that it is no longer than it is as well, I think that since it is such a mellow song it would have gotten boring if the song was and longer then it is, even though it is a pretty short song. Olp rocks, they're the best band out there. ^~ |

Rob zombie is awesome.. This song seems to have a couple themes to it, but I really like the part about the 20 innocents. Its so true, we pray for innocent people in wars.. And we accuse innocent people of crimes ect. Cool song. |

Haha, "left hand" suzuki method, I thought of masturbation when I first read the title. But anyway, thats beside the point. I could not figure out what this song was about until I read Spread's explaination. Now it all makes sense, giving me more appreciation for this song. Its really neat how they intergrated the violin into this song so nicely without drowning it out with other instruments, infact, they accentuated it. I love this band. |

Yea, I think this song is about how you should try an enjoy life. You know, "pick the sun back up".. But its hard to do that, and he doesn't know why.. Alot of people feel sad or depressed for little or no reasons, its human nature, but its a kind of shame since life is quite wonderful. It probably wasn't written to convey that, but thats the feel I get from it. |

I do believe, that this song is about a some one who is leading a "bad" life style. He says that, even though what he is doing wrong, that everyone does it to a certain extent. For example, most people watch their weekly television show, they become addicted to it, like this person is to alchohal and drugs. Thus, "big green monkey, everyones a junkie." The everones a junkie part is simple to understand and the big green monkey would be refering to the addiction.
