There's nothing like your little sister sticking up for you when you can't . . . and since I don't have a little sister or brother for that matter, I'm hoping I have a female friend/cousin who's ready to take out my girl if she finds her cheating and I don't know. Basically, the sister finds out her sister-in-law is cheating on her brother and she takes things into her own hands and takes her out to the woods and does her in the back of the head and buried the body...and then takes out the guys who slept with her...and her brother in a fit of rage after being told by his best friend everything (excluding his sister's acts) goes up to his best friend's place - Andy - to give him what for and comes onto what is now a crime scene...he panics and sees a cop, flashes him down...and the rest everyone should be able to figure out. Her brother's the guy who was hung when the lights went out - though that may led you to believe he was put in the chair . . . they should have done a whole concept album and she should have ended up taking out the Sheriff, Judge, Mayor everyone who basically hung him without evidence, trial, etc.

Amazing! Why am I the first person to comment on their version of Johnny B. Goode!! This is probably the best cover of this song ever! With all due respect to Chuck Berry...Rob sings this song on a vocal scream that is so smooth and clear that it sounds like he's just whistling. And K.K. & Glen just have their guitars roaring. And the back up vocals are just great, you can even hear Rob given full voice.

Well...90% of everyone is correct. It's about not taking shit from anyone and doing what's necessary to keep things even with everyone and not letting anyone rule over anyone attempting to control things. If you pay attention to the video you can obviously see this...the guys holding a meter to measure the volume and their within a sound barrier area to test how loud they are and they blow his head off cause he was an agent of the government (or some funky religious right group or something maybe) trying to control Rock 'n Roll...because if you do, you've got another thing coming.

Several of you are correct and several more close, while the others were just flat out wrong. This isn't about love or anything to do with sexual situations, such that was point out by "ledskynyrd". It's about their managers/producers...not sure if it's Trident or those immediatily following...but it is just as "Death On Two Legs". I've recently started taking drum lessons to go along with my guitar/vocals, just to round myself out as a musician...and OMG, Roger is killing those drums!! Queen are the greatest band not just rock but the greatest band ever and are truly under appreciated. They arranged their songs perfectly with the music and lyrics, and this song's just a pure example of that.

I finally saw the video for this song, and you don't even have to pay attention there's plenty of scenes about religious figures forcing people to do things and politicians trying to censor shit, in fact it opens up with CENSOR big as hell.

I still disagree with that, but as a guitarist and song-writer, I often get into debates about what the songs that I have written are about, so Rob could be actually telling the truth or still fucking with some heads, but this site is for us to debate what we think the songs are about....for those songs that have no legit meaning anyway.

Well this is an forum for opinions on what we believe these songs that we love, listen to, the artist we damn there worship mean...but, what the said we also have to correct each other and this is one of those moments. Freddie didn't write the song, "TheOlsna" is correct within that and it isn't about any sort of disease at all...Brian wrote the song, and he wrote about the interaction between Queen and the FANS . . . not HIV/AIDS, Gay anything, nor Cats (though Freddie did refer to many things within his home as his jewels). For those who don't know, Queen purposely placed songs on their albums for crowd interaction starting with "Love Of My Life" and obviously continued with "Somebody To Love & Teo Torriatte", WWRY/WATC", "Mustapha"...etc, etc, etc. And this is well documented on several DVDs.

Before anyone states the so INCORRECT statement...this song isn't about Rob being gay this song isn't about gay rights, or anything GAY! Rob didn't even write the song, G. Tippton wrote it after seeing Rob wearing a leather outfit while coming to the studio on a motorcycle . . . and obviously it became Priest's look which became the look of metal.

Hennings, don't mean to sink your boat but this song isn't about seeing/hearing a dead person or anything of the sorts...it's about Bob Dylan. Priest are a great band, but anyone who remakes a song can't change the meaning of which it was writen, I love both J. Baez's version and JP's! But she wrote it about Bob Dylan and the time they spent together.

This songs not about going to jail, it's about breaking the law and AVOIDING jail, hence the sirens (as previously noted by rightface) screaming...I don't know about where you live, but the only time you hear sirens are when they're on their way, there's a chase, or someone's dead...they don't turn them on to haul your ass to jail. So basically, this songs about having to break the law to survive, not go to jail.

I respect everyones opinions in life...well most of them. And with that said, we can't verify who does what in life as far as occupations are concerned...so Korm2138, I could careless if you actually do write for a magazine and what Rob said, cause I don't get anything about politics in this song...I think Meatwagon wasn't probably dead on, but it appears to be about a woman or just a relationship in general, how you like the person but know they're no good for you but you keep letting them back in, blah blah blah so on and so on. And if Rob did tell you that, then shame on him for lying his Metal God ass off and most artist hate telling people what their songs are about anyway.

To--greatpretender = Teo Torriatte was 2 years and 2 albums prior to Jazz/Let Me Entertain You And this is one of Queens songs that just prove no other band is above them in the realm of music. Most bands just write lyrics then add music or vice versa...this tune sounds like Freddie & Brian sat in a room and figured out how every word and rift would flow with each other.
