i know this isnt what the song is about, this is just what i take from it. right now im in a tough spot debating on moving and starting over, or staying here with the only life i've known. this song says to me, if you dont get up and live your life, it'll be the same things ( the same corner booth, the same bar, the same beer, the same people). if you dont take the time to make a postive change you wont be able to "stop it". |

i love this song so much. its obvious from my user name. the get up kids are my favorite band ever. this song gives me chills even after the thousands of times i listened to it. |

this is my favorite song on the new cd. its kind of bittersweet because of the meaning. its about the internal problems in the get up kids.
matt and the rest of the guys didnt get along unless alcohol was involved. (bottle it up it takes a bottle to get it out). they felt it wasnt right to keep something going if they didn't really care about it. (its not worth money if your heart just isnt in it). so they decided to cut their losses and realize when a good thing is gone. (lets call it off, take the memories and run). I read an interview with matt pryor and he explained this. |
