I agree with the first post. Life in prison makes alot of sense with this song. (I'm living free because the rent's never due) The Hole could be a T.V that he's watching. (Seen the western world go down in the east)
He's just kinda sitting there watching T.v or looking out of the "hole" Cause there's not much else to do. Ozzy Himself was in Prison for 8 Weeks for stealing Womens clothing to sell at a bar. Ozzy himself was so bored in prison it was where he gave himself his famous "Ozzy" tattoo. |

According to Geezer himself, he was into the occult. Ozzy Got him a weird book that ozzy thought geezer might like. Geezer looked through it, and it gave him the creeps. Geezer then put in in a cabinet in his living room. The next day when he checked for it, it was gone. That night Geezer awoke from his sleep to find a shadowy figure above him. He told Ozzy and Ozzy put together the song, kinda as a Warning to geezer to stay away from the Occult. This song goes very very well with the whole theme of the album. The radio intervals between the songs are fake "Shortwave/AM" Broadcasts. These usually consist of Pirate Radio, and Religious broadcasts. This song is talking about how God is over the radio. Pick up a Shortwave radio and hear for yourself. |

Also, I'm not sure if anyone got the real meaning yet (I skimmed through most of the posts) But the meaning is, The people who were rioting were using all of the events like the beating of Rodney etc, "It's not about rodney King" just so they could riot and get the stuff they wanted and needed for free with an excuse, "the mom stealing pampers". people just used the riots to get what they needed, some participants didn't even know why they were riotng, they just thought "Free stuff" Which they needed without a cost. Sexual inuendos arn't Claypoools style though. The song is no doubt about some chic named "Wynona" and she has a pet Beaver. Not a vagina or a dick, but she has a pet Beaver. Claypool probably did this on purpose to get people thinking about it. For example Say you're walking and a Farmer comes up to you and says "I have the biggest cock in the world" you go "WHAT THE HELL?" and he's like "i'm talking about my rooster". This song always reminds me of someone who's about to get hung. He knows he's going to die and he wants the vision of him dieng and suffering in everyones mind forever, hence "remember this day", and if this was the scenario then the "God bless you all" verse would be like a "Fuck you" to the people that did it to him. I know that it really isn't about that, just voicing my opinion. |
