| The Weakerthans – Airport Lounge Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Sounds incredibly similar to" Going to Georgia" by The Mountain Goats. Both are great songs. | |
| The Antlers – Epilogue Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This is brilliant. These guys are brilliant. | |
| The Antlers – Bear Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
"Well we're not scared of making caves. Or finding food for him to eat. We're terrified of one another. And terrified of what that means." I find it hard to express in words how powerful those 4 lines are. |

| LCD Soundsystem – All My Friends Lyrics | 16 years ago |

You look contorted on yourself your ridiculous prop I hear "You can turn it on yourself you ridiculous (man?)" "When you were drunk and the kids looked impossible to have" is also something i hear. |

| Pomegranates – Everybody, Come Outside! Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Not 100% sure about some of the words - contributions and corrections would be awesome. | |
| Steve Burns – A Song For Dustmites Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I really REALLY like this song. Not a whole lot to say about the lyrics though. | |
| Pomegranates – Osidius The Emphatic Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Great lyrics, can't find the song anywhere though. | |
| Okkervil River – Black Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"if I could have somehow never let that happen? Or I’d call, some black midnight, fuck up his new life where they don’t know what he did, tell his brand-new wife and his second kid." The word "THAT" in the first line implies one single event, such as sexual abuse, rather than abandonment by a father. It could still mean heartbreak by a previous boyfriend, but the phrase "second kid" implies a FIRST kid; it's her father we're talking about here, not a lover. tl;dr - Going by those 4 lines, the literal interpretation is molestation by her father. |

| The Weakerthans – Utilities Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Well, the whole album has been leaked, and they did a lot of post production work on this one - They did a good job of it too. | |
| The Weakerthans – Reunion Tour Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Even though this song is the album's namesake (is that the right way of putting it?) This was one of my least favourite songs on the album. | |
| The Weakerthans – Bigfoot! Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I love the way he sings: "I'll listen to the south winds sigh with rumors and regrets and I don't want to talk about it anymore" |
|
| Modest Mouse – Broke Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I always pretend that the line says "Broke the glass, but it broke the ice" rather than 'glasses'. Means a little more to me like that. Breaks the ice, as in, the tension in the room. Or possibly the ice inside the glass. But i'm another fan of "Broken hearts want broken necks", Damn that's good I just realised that the above poster pointed out the whole 'tension' thing relating to the ice..Oh well. |

| Modest Mouse – We've Got Everything Lyrics | 19 years ago |

"Well look at our boat in the bay it looks like some sad ass little canoe" Love that line. |
|
| Modest Mouse – Missed the Boat Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I thought the ?? was Pillar. Makes more sense that way... One of the best songs on the album, IMO. |
|
| The Mountain Goats – Going to Alaska Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I Agree, for me, this one's up there with 'Going To Georgia'. It's great. i especially like the line "I'm going to Alaska, where there's snow to suck the sound out from the air." | |
| The Mountain Goats – Going to Georgia Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Favourite song, by a mile. It's all in the voice. | |
| Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer – Crazy = Cute Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Agreed, heather. lol. | |
| The Mountain Goats – Mole Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I did not name myself after this song. It's actually just a coincedence, i've used this name for years. but I think it's a great song. | |
| The Mountain Goats – No Children Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"I am drowning. There is no sign of land. You are coming down with me, hand in unlovable hand." One of my favourite set of lyrics. ever. |
|
| The Mountain Goats – Cold Milk Bottle Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I love how he sings "I Feel Aaaaaaaaalright" in the first verse. | |
| The Mountain Goats – Woke Up New Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"I get goose bumps when he sings "what do I do?" It is almost like he is whispering as his voice goes higher. It is beautiful." I agree completely. It's a great song. Can't wait for the full album! *Marks it on the calender* |
|
| The Mountain Goats – Azo Tle Nelli in Tlalticpac? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
That's one thing I love about TMG. They have some of the most random song names I've heard. Oh, the other thing I love is the fact that they're awesome. Don't forget that. |
