I don't believe these lyrics are exactly correct, but they're pretty close.
I think this song is about a man going to visit his significant other, and figuring out she's cheating on him. Maybe. It's got a very creepy, eerie vibe to it, and this is easily my favorite song on the new cd.
"Faith, oh, faith is the way to believe lies that we need."

When the band was recording this album at The Paramour in...Los Angeles, I believe, Gerard would have these night terrors when he was trying to sleep. The band also said that they felt like dark spirits in the house were trying to stop them.
The voice at the beginning is Gerard's, discussing exaclt what would happen to him when he had the night terrors. |

I think it takes place after an important night in the narrator's life (maybe prom), and he's thinking back on it, and how he's growing up, and what's in store for him. |

The video for this song puts a whole new spin on it for me.
If you've seen the video, you might understand this song better, but this is what I get: the girl cheats, so the couple break up. Then, in the video, she comes upon her ex-lover lying in the street, and has flashbacks of when they were together. She feels remorse for what she did, becomes sick, and faints right next to her love. Then the paramedics come in, and "save" them, also saving their love for each other. So somehow, the narrator forgives her.
I may be completely wrong, but oh well. |

I love this song, as you can tell from my username.
I'm not exactly sure what it's about, however. I get the feeling that the narrator and Katie Kutthroat are a couple, and I get a sort of Bonnie and Clyde vibe, if you get what I mean. They're partners-in-crime, and they're in it together. |

This is one of the strongest songs on the record, for sure, and one of the best. I love seeing it performed live.

Um...yeah. This song, is simply about drama, and the things it causes. Hasn't anyone seen the video? The video is a spoof of all those teen dramas, like The OC and Laguna Beach. But yeah, the video helps you understand what the song's about. |

This is most definitely one of the best songs on the album. I really love the a capella beginning.
The song is obviously about a party girl- one who likes to drink, take pills, and is basically a whore. But it seems to me that her friends are finally seeing what a messed-up person she is, so they desert her. The line "If you lie, you don't deserve to have friends" definitely shows that. |
