| Wintersun – Beyond The Dark Sun Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Maybe this song is also dealing with Jari's leaving Ensiferum, just like "Death and the healing". He sings that he "gets to let his shadows free" - Jari often complained that he wasn't able to make his ideas real while singing/playing in Ensiferum. Now that he has left Ensiferum, he can let free his musical ideas and creations. | |
| Wintersun – Death And The Healing Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Well, it doesn't fit into the album that well, cause there are no harsh vocals on this. But then again, the melodies and Jari's clean vocals are simply amazing. Too bad for Ensiferum, that guy left them and was "healed" by Wintersun. | |
| Ensiferum – Battle Song Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Unfortunately, Jari Mäenpää left Ensiferum already in 2004 and was replaced by Norther's Petri Lindroos. He isn't that bad at all, as I can tell from the recent gig in Munich, but he does't reach Jari by far :( | |
| Ensiferum – One More Magic Potion Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Petri said in an interview with the German Metal Hammer that the song is basically saying that beer tastes good ^^ | |
| Demons and Wizards – Love's Tragedy Asunder Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I don't think that this songs still refers to the Dark Tower, since there are only four songs on the album with this topic, namely: Crimson King, Terror Train, The Gunslinger and Seize The Day. For example, as far as I remember, Roland never did close Susan's eyes. To me this song is more generally about losing a beloved woman. |

| Demons and Wizards – Crimson King Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Somehow it's strange that a song which is so oviously written about Randall Flagg is called "Crimson King". I mean, of course he is one of CC's minions, but still it is confusing. | |
| Megadeth – A Tout le Monde (Set Me Free) Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Great song, I like it. But Mustaine's French pronounciation really sucks ^^ |

| Amon Amarth – Asator Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
@ heartbeats_xxx: Yes, it refers to the umbrella term for the Pagan gods, the "Æsir". Is is quite common to call a god Asa-something, as for example Asator instead of Thor. |

| Amon Amarth – The Pursuit Of Vikings Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Omg, please don't mix up Viking and medieval history and mythology. | |
| Subway To Sally – Veitstanz Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I think the song describes a man going insane because the woman he loves rejects him. "Veitstanz" is the German word for the St. Vitus' dance disease which was spread quite widely in the middle ages. |

| Subway To Sally – Krötenliebe Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I once heard that this song is displaying Bodenski's love for a former biology teacher of his ^^ The lyrics describe a pair having sex at a small lake or in some kind of swamp, surrounded by toads and frogs. |

| Subway To Sally – Auf Der Reise Lyrics | 19 years ago |

| Subway To Sally – Kleid aus Rosen Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I guess Kalvin is absolutely right. | |
| Subway To Sally – Falscher Heiland Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
On the surface it surely IS about this "wrong priest". But S2S intended the song to be generally against false leaders leading their peoples into death and defeat. No wonder that you see George W. Bush on the CD case. |

| Scar Symmetry – The Illusionist Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I do agree in some way, but I also see some parallels to Stephen King's "Dark Tower" within the lyrics. He sings about an outcast facing defeat and seeking comfort in retreat. I associate these lines with Roland Deschain seeing his home town being destroyed and later bringing death and destruction himself. He also feels most comfortable journeying alone, as death had been promised to those whom he calls his friends. There is also the rose the character in the song dreams of and that appears "so real". In "The Dark Tower" the rose represents the Tower in the world of Eddie, Susannah and Jake growing in a deserted court in New York. Would be interesting to know if the band (or at least the singer) have read the "Tower" novels. |
