I didn't even think about this song being about the Columbine shootings until I read the lyrics. It still makes me sick to think that people would actually take another person's life. Especially in this manner. I'm not sure what to believe, because there are many theories flying around. But what I want to believe is that, that girl did say yes when he asked her if she believed in God, and that she died because of that. I find it comforting in knowing that people have as strong of faith as I do. But I still find it disturbing that someone would kill another for that reason. Faith is important, no matter what you choose to believe in. |

I don't think you guys are quite getting it here. This is obviously a song about a person with low self esteem, and horrid parents... Also portrait of skin is your apperance, and all he's saying is that he won't force himself to look a certain way just because people believe that beauty is only skin deep. And when they say cut deep or don't cut at all, they're basically saying either kill yourself or don't.

Just because Flyleaf is a christian band, doesn't mean that every single one of their songs is about God. I agree with Sercerteyes. Maybe this song is about something other than God, I write songs, and I'm christain, but my songs aren't about God. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I just don't think you should assume every song she writes is about God. |

I still don't understand why there are so many comments about this song being good. You can't honestly tell me that this song is good. Let's all face it, basiclly everyone that sings hip-hop really can't sing, and they deffinitely DON'T write their own songs. Although maybe this chick did write this, seeing as it's so god damn stupid. It makes me ears bleed. I hate all you fucking chavs that think this music is good. If she wants to talk about sex, then why doesn't she just straight up say it in her lyrics. I hate hearing this song on the radio and on tv. It's a waste of my bloody time. I agree with what most of you think London Bridge means, but seriously, if she is actually able to write songs, she should have better lyrics than that! Unfortunatly there are a lot of chavs in London who love this song. I fucking hate all of you. |

Since I just came out of a long relationship, I completely understand this song and what it means, at least to me. My ex boyfriend used me for whatever he possibly could. I had no idea because I was in love with him and really didn't care about what he was doing to me. He cheated on me for 6 of the 8 years we were together. This just proves to me how wrong you can be about people, even if you've known them for a long time. People can always hurt you, even the people you feel closest to. He lied to me all this time, so I'm wondering, are relationships really worth the chance of getting hurt? I can relate to this song cos I've been through some terrible things, I guess it makes me feel better knowing that someone else knows how I feel. |

I stronly believe that all kids will face a war with themselves at one point, and I know that there are a lot of songs about that these days. Many artists want kids to feel that they aren't alone with their problems, like someone else has gone through the same thing. I used to feel comfort in knowing that someone else has been through what I had, cos I felt like an outcast from everyone else who had not gone through the same... A lot of teens will go through times where they want to die, or they feel distraught, whatever, and a lot of the time they turn to music to comfort them. Even though this isn't really about this song, I just wanted to point it out. I think this is a really good example of what I was talking about though, and a good song. Ciao. |
