| John Lennon – Oh My Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| this was my parents' wedding song. now they're divorced. it's sad to listen to. :( regardless, it's a beautiful song. I hope to feel that way about someone, someday. | |
| My Chemical Romance – Famous Last Words Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| seeing this song live was the most enlightening experience in my entire 16.5 years on this earth. | |
| From First to Last – Deliverance! Lyrics | 17 years ago |

when i saw the title, i thought of Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk. the lyrics, not so much... but kinda... if you wanna stretch it a little bit. anyone agree with me? |

| Hedley – Can't Go Back Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
in the chorus, [[Cause that one great final mistake is that one thing I wont let you make So take my advice and save your good-byes I wont let you fall apart on your own you're never alone]] i think the "one great final mistake" is suicide. i think he, the singer, is trying to convince someone not to make that mistake by reminding the person of how many good times they've had together and how much people care about him/her. this song really hits home for me because i have a friend that has contemplated suicide and she won't listen to anyone when we tell her how much we care about her. i just want to play this song for her, but i think she'd take it offensively. anyone else feel the same way as i do about this song? |

ooh and by the way, what does everyone think of the choir part in the beginning? I really think it's great. it just goes to show you how much their sound has matured in just a year. |

| Yellowcard – Paper Walls Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
well the whole part: "let's take what hurts and write it all down on these paper walls in this empty house and when our ink runs out we'll burn it to the ground".. well "what hurts" could be anything from criticism to verbal abuse, depending on how the song would relate to you in particular. then when the ink runs out, that means that you've gotten all your problems out, and when you burn it to the ground, you're kinda getting rid of the memories. SYMBOLISM. i like. =]]]]]] |

| Reel Big Fish – Beer Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i donno about all you people. to me, it's pretty much saying that some chick told him that she loved him. but then she found a different dude. but then he finds out that if he drinks, they'll be "good friends", so he has a beer. | |
| Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics | 19 years ago |

anyone think this song may be about buying condolences? or whatever those things were called..in the "middle ages" when people believed they had to buy their way into heaven instead of going to purgatory.. i apologize - i'm not very religious.. |

| Hedley – Sugar Free Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
this song is amazing. he's saying if he never met this gal, he'd never love her. and loving her made his life a living hell pretty much, because he can't get over her. i'm in this situation now. maybe it'll relate to you guys more than the lyrics. i met this guy through my friends, and it was pretty much love at first sight. we went out, and then he broke up with me. i cried and crieddddd. ever since then i've been in love with him and i'm not able to get over him and every time i see him i die inside. |

| Taking Back Sunday – New American Classic Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
at the TBS concert I went to, they were talking about how Adam [the lead singer] used to be married. That makes sense in this song. "come untie the knot" is the opposite of "tie the knot", which means get married. so I think that it has something to do with a divorce. and when he says "if chasing our dreams is just a distraction", i think he's talking about him chasing his dreams of being in a band, and that's distracting him from his relationship. i might be totally wrong. opinions? |

| Hedley – Johnny Falls Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i think it's just about this guy who's sick of all the shit he's getting from friends and girls and shit, and he's just warning people that he won't change for anyone and he'll have his fun with a gun =] yeahh and i also think it's about like this guy that has tried to change to please or impress people, and he's done and he won't do it anymore cuz he got pushed around and messed with. i donno, that's just what i'm getting from it. |
|
| Hedley – Trip Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
it's really obvious what this song is about. i think pretty much anyone who has ever liked anyone can relate to these lyrics. and that's what hedley is about. i saw an interview with them and jacob was saying stuff like "these lyrics mean different things for everyone" and i thought that was pretty interesting. i donno. yeah and i met jacob. he calls himself the "microphonist." |

| Taking Back Sunday – Up Against (Blackout) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
guys, guys. this is crap. seriously, if you wanna talk shit about taking back sunday, go to like a discussion board or a chatroom or something. this site is called "songmeanings.net", so shouldn't we be trying to interpret the meaning of the song??? i donno i might be psycho, but w/e. i just wanted to know that this song was about, not what narrow-minded people think. i really don't care if people think that they suck. because they can't just look past the older TBS and see that they're maturing, and seeing that maybe simple is good. and all the people that say that this album doesn't have any variety...what the fuck are you on?? |

| Taking Back Sunday – Suburban Home/I Like Food (The Descendents cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i don't see why this is such a disaster. yeah, the descendents are great. and yeah, this song is great by them. are you people just like, not open for change or something? just cuz it's not the same genre of music doesn't make it horrible. you little narrow-minded jerks, open up your mind to more than one type of music. |
