I love the vocalist of Him (sorry, don't know his name) but I love how deep his voice is. It's so peaceful to listen to. When I first heard this song (before I heard Him) I thought it was going to like bust out into hard core metal or something. lol. When it got to the chorus I was pleasantly surprised. This is a great song about love and it makes me really happy to listen to. :D |

I love this song. "Your heinous highness broke her hymen hey man try to quit your crying" is definatly one of the coolest word sequences in a song that I've heard. At first when I heard it I had no idea what it meant but now I'm thinking that... "heinous highness broke her hymen".. probably mean's she lost her virginity to him. And then when she found him "erected with another" means he obviously cheated on her. Then she flips out at him and he flips her off... then he feels terrible.. so he goes up to the roof to commit suicide. Those are my thoughts at least. |

I think this song definatly makes reference to sex in such lines as "A river that runs right thru you" and "deliever for me my darling". However, the chorus is amazing. "Shot from the pages of love and glory" is one of my favorite lines, but the line I absolutly love is "carry me down into the waters of love". I love that line!! Overall, it's a really great song possibly about Kiedis's realationships and if he's doing the right thing. I agree with SmashingPeppers about how he's kind of inbewtween love and sex. Oh yeah, and I love the end of this song. |

I was surprised at how much I liked this song. I'm a huge fan of Hendrix and before I heard this song I didn't think it could even compare to the original, but was actually surprised. I think they did a great job with this song and with the other covers on Mother's Milk. Fire was awesome too. :D |
