Forever the Sickest Kids – Catastrophe Lyrics 17 years ago
The "clock" part that you put "crack" for instead is sort of an obvious mistake.

I mean, honestly, have you even listened to the song?

There's the TICKING OF A CLOCK in the backround of the music when he says "clock". So, unless a "crack" makes the sound "tick tock tick tock" then I'm pretty sure we're all right.

All Time Low – Remembering Sunday Lyrics 18 years ago
She left during the night and died (whether it was homicide or suicide is debatable - I'd go with suicide myself) and feels bad about leaving now that she's dead and can't tell him everything she was feeling and why she left and so on.

There you go.

It makes sense.

Stop being silly. =)

I think it's my favorite off their new CD.
All Time Low DOES kind of remind me of Dave Melillo.
Dave's and Alex's voices are kind of similar, rough and yet smooth, and they both are pretty young in their genre.

Blink-182 – Adam's Song Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is about suicide. They said so. It's true. Get over it.

One of my favorites, though.
Not because of what it's about.

Cute Is What We Aim For – Risque Lyrics 18 years ago
All right. All I've got to say is that
1. This song is my favorite by CIWWAF. By far.
2. It's about a prostitute. Or whore or some sort. Um, duh, much?
3. It's Medically Speaking. Grammatically speaking sounds cooler, though, you have to admit. and Grammatically does make sense because it's like saying that it's the right way to say what she is... as in "politically correct."
4. It's JEALOUS. Not unjealous. Unjealous makes no sense. It's just that Shaant (and other singers of this same smooth-yet-edgy voice style) have ways of singing the lyrics so that there's an extra something to the word so it sounds off. But it's jealous, kids.
5. Half of you are foolish for thinking otherwise. The other half.. thanks for being sensible.

JamisonParker – Tearing Through Me Lyrics 19 years ago
Wow.

My boyfriend sent this one to me.

We live 600 miles apart.

We can't go to sleep without saying "I love you" on the phone each night.

His last kiss was like shrapnel indeed.
I can't wait to have that feeling again. :]

[by the way, in case you were wondering, shrapnel is like the deadly shells of many mini bombs that explode on impact. They were used mainly in world war two and stuff.]

JamisonParker – Here's Everything I've Always Meant To Say Lyrics 19 years ago
I cried when I first heard it, after hearing him say that.

"I love you" is never enough to repay him for all the sweet, sweet words he's spent on me.

Yeah, I'm kind of insecure too.
He tells me I'm beautiful everyday, says I'm perfect.
Well you should see this kid. He is amazingly flawless.

Love is flawless.
Love is ruthless.
My Love is neverending :]

My boyfriend sent this song to me, saying only this:

Here, my dear, really is EVERYTHING I've ALWAYS meant to say, every word...and will still say until my dying day.

So this song basically is amazing in my eyes.
Because he is amazing.

Plain White T's – Hey There Delilah Lyrics 19 years ago
My boyfriend and I listened to this song replaying and replaying on our ipods for weeks on end while we talked on the phone. We live a hundred miles or so away from each other :[

He told me to calm down and don't worry about it; that in 2 more years he'd be out of school [in 3 I will be], and he'd come save me from the chaos of my melancholic small town and all its depressing distasters.

It's sort of reversed for us. I play the guitar, and plan on making my own music someday. He'll be done with school in 2 years.

And NYC...is where he's taking me as soon as I finish highschool.
We've got it all planned out.
He's going to work for a year in my town, saving up money for an apartment and such, and when I graduate we're going to go to school at NYU.
It's just .. so ironic. Our life; this song.

We are so in love like you would not believe.
This song pretty much exemplifies that.

Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars Lyrics 19 years ago
People are making the song sound so hard to interpret.

Kids, get real. Let all of societ's taught logic pass right over your head.

Because, honestly, the meaning of the song is summed up in the chorus. Summed up in the romance that we have the greatest desire to share with someone, just lying down side by side and feeling no other greater glory than Love itself.

Love is compliated enough; quit trying to define and explain it.

Just ACCEPT it...

In all its beautiful complexity.

This is the song that me and my boyfriend were listening to when he first told me he loved me. It had been replaying on our ipods for weeks before that day.
We've been together for many months.
...And it's still Our song.

The Academy Is... – Classifieds Lyrics 19 years ago
Okay, basically ... First verse: all the "He"s got a decent voice, so take "him" up for just 9.95...."HE" is essentially THE ENTIRE BAND. They are saying - er, bragging - about their band and such. Chorus: And they're saying how hard it is to actually make it into what they are. Second verse: about a concert or show. It's saying how they're being watched and scored by all the public eye and saying how if they don't make it into a big band that everyone wants to see (e.g. "and if I die in my sleep..."), then they're asking if you'll still support them and such. Same thing kinda with the third.

That's just what I think.. =)

The Academy Is... – Down and Out Lyrics 19 years ago
Okay guys, sorry but I TOTALLY disagree with every single one of you.

I'm not implying that you're wrong, just that my opinion is so strongly leaning in the opposite direction.

The whole song, to me, seems more not of abusive relationships and such, but of a man who has changed and torn himself away from everything. The girl is merely scared of change and of everything else. The way William's voice captivates each word, it's like he's trying to hint at something deeper than psychical abuse. The man and girl are being torn apart by something neither can control.

I dislike the line "speak now or forever hold your peace, in pieces". I'm sorry, it just doesn't appeal to me. It seems out of place.

The wearing of sunglasses "in the home" part after the sun went down - well hey, even I do that. But for reasons I shall not explain to the public ear while it is so open.

I think it depicts not that she has bruises, but that the girl is challenging the dark and evilness of everything about her to take away her own opinions and feelings and hopes of something bright and happy.

The shout out part to their friends - well, again, everything is being torn from the man in the song. People pity him - but fear him all the same. It's not the best way to look at a man, especially not the wholy confused man the song is partially about - but his friends still do so.

I'm not sure if you understand, but I hope you do.

Because abuse is too easy of an object to speak about - and that is why the song has nothing to do with it.

The world is scary and neverendingly changing.
People want out of it.
People create their own worlds.

But sometimes those worlds plauge them with insanity so strong they become even more unstable. The girl doesn't want out of just a "relationship", kids, but out of something much more stronger and unexplainable.

By the way, it is my FAVORITE song by TAI.

Goodday,
Aubrey. =)
