I think it's about a girl who is the fisrt human clone. First she didn't know about it. But later the medicine science used her for experiments and her parents told her what she is. "Past the road to your house That you never called home" I think that's clear. He walks by her house and remembers that she has never felt comfortable there. "Where they turned out your lights Though they say you'll never know" The parents gave up on her and she'll never realize because she's maybe apathetic or in a coma. "I remember running through the wet grass And failing a step behind Both of us never tiring Desperately wanting" He simply remembers the good times they had. "When they pumped out your guts And filled you full of those pills You were never quite right Deserving all the chills They say the worst is over Kicked it over and ran Then they ask what went wrong When they turn you on again They turn you on again" They used her for test by "pumping out her guts" and "filling her with pills". And he tells her that she doesn't hava to do this; that she should stop letting the doctors to that to her. And because of the tests she changed emotionally. "Kick them right in the face Make them wish they weren't born And if they bring up your name Well they'll say you won the war. Baby burst in the world Never given a chance Then they ask what went wrong When you never had it right" Now he really wants her to stop it, he feels sorry for her because she's changing and getting sicker. But when someone asks the doctors they're saying that she's fine. But he thinks that she was thrown into this world without a real chance to be only a normal girl. The doctors are wondering what went wrong with her, why she went "crazy" because they can't undertand. And he also thinks that they never had the right to clone her. "Oh the letters have dropped off Though they say you got them all I finally figured out some things you'll never know. Take back your life and let me inside We'll find the door if you care to anymore. " She broke up the contact to her "parents" although they tried to get back in contact with her but she didn't want to. But he would still be with her. |
